Yeah but you are all PC enthusiasts!
You have to remember that most people get confused connecting their keyboard and mouse to the P.C. let alone build machines, knowing exactly what bits go with what etc...
Personally I think consumer electronics is going in so many different directions at the moment, it's putting people off getting as interested in it as they were.
Alienware offer a very good machine, with a brilliant system restore and support service compared to other suppliers, so if I was just Joe Bloggs who wanted to play the newest games, and do multimedia stuff etc... I would probably pay the extra money and get one.
I mean ffs, you've got SCSI, IDE, PCI, PCI-Expres, PCI-X, RAM, DDR, 32 bit AMD, 32 bit Intel, 64 bit Intel, AMD 64..........
Not to mention trying to find the right motherboard to hold it all together.
It's the same with T.V.'s, you got CRT, LCD, Plasma, Rear Projection, Hi-Def, Encrypted Hi-Def, Projectors, Blue-Ray....
Somebody somewhere is going to make a website selling stuff with simplistic information for your average joe, and they are going to make a fucking fortune!!!*

I nearly 
. He had one of them new fangled PCs with colour coded plugs and sockets, and still couldn't connect them.
