I quite like the look of that, but I fear that the PC version will be too console-y like GTA IV was.

I had to spend a bit of time looking for a good gif for that.

I looks like it should have been released 10 years ago.

Haha, isn't that the Camptown Ladies scene from Blazing Saddles?

And thanks to the comments I've discovered Caravan Palace, who have a very similar music style to the music in the above gameplay.

That looks interesting, and as it's Tecland, those chaps behind Dead Island, they've certainly got the zombie combat thing down fairly well.

Worrying that it's coming out on both current gen and next gen consoles as well as PC though, as that's quite the split when it comes to development.

I though it looked familiar. I didn't care for dead island, it was a pretty terrible game.

The GTA online thing is I'm guessing going to be like Red Dead Redemption online which was rumoured to be very good but I refused to go online in the game so I don't know.

I didn't bother either. I understand it had some good mechanics, like the melee combat (if you enabled the complex mode), but otherwise flawed. Dying Light may also be hit and miss, but I'm choosing to be optimistic in this case.

Im gonna have to check out that complex mode as i didnt see an option for that, given the game a couple hours and was thoroughly underwhelmed by the combat so hopefully this will kick it up from just mashing the same button constantly.

edit: just had a play with that, the analog combat mode is only usable with a controller, which is strange seeing as its almost identical to mount & blades combat system which works more than well using a keyboard and mouse. a shame as i find first person games really disorienting with a controller

That is a shame. Is the Mount & Blades system the same or similar to Chivalry? If you haven't played it, it involves 3 types of attack (horizontal, vertical swings plus stab/jab) and blocking requires looking in the rough direction of the incoming attack.

After I'd played Chivalry for a while the melee combat in Skyrim was a bit lame, or more actually, even lamer.
