As an fyi, Smilies seem to have an issue being displayed if there's no space between them:

with spaces: :starfull: :starfull: :starfull: :starfull: :starfull: :starfull: :starempty: :starempty:

without spaces: :starfull::starfull::starfull::starfull::starfull::starfull::starempty::starempty:

I just made some slight changes to make them a little more touch friendly (previously the werds were links but the icons weren't, now all is links). Anyone have any issues/suggestions/feedback?

Functionally they're awesome. It's good to tie those areas up with the forum, because without the link the WP and Wiki might as well be separate sites. I'd love to see a common theme across them all too so transition was less obvious and it would seem more like a single site, but with one Wordpress and the other PHPBB I doubt that's a particularly easy thing to do.

I've added a link to the YouTube channel too. First stage is to have the forum nav up and running (which is mostly done) then to carry the navigation across to the WordPress, as well as tweak the theme. I'm feeling pretty motivated right now so I imagine this will be done sooner rather than later. Next step is to look more in depth at the PHP functions of the site - The nav menu is currently hard coded into the forum header php file. I'm sure it's fine, but it's a bit hacky and I'd like to do it properly at some point; I imagine I'll have to learn a lot more about phpbb first though. As for doing a custom navigation for the wiki, how hard can it be? :?

I'm in it for the long haul anyway.

I'd say the WP is more of a priority than the wiki. The wiki's pretty neglected (although if it was more prominent it might get more love). You sound like you have everything thought out though. Nice work.

Awesome stuff!

Quick question, are the links correct? They work, but www.home.5punk.co.uk seems like quite an odd url.

I had to put the Wordpress site under a different Structure to the forum, which as Grimmie says meant it became a sub-domain. It's not perfect but 5punk.co.uk redirects there anyway. Product of my cack-handed, self-taught web skills (although 'skills' seems to be a stretch).

I like the 5punky Youtube icon.

We wanted to keep it as a separate installation when we first started it and were doing testing, it could be moved to something like 5punk.co.uk/home but it only really makes much of a difference in SEO terms. I notice a few of the plugins need updating, but I'll let you look at those in case any of them are ones you've had to tweak to get working.

I notice the front page blog is now loading fast, that's a big improvement. Having a front page that loads slowly is a good way to put off visitors. Good work!

It doesn't log me out (maybe something related to logging in on the FP or not?)

But it does load slower than a slow loading thing on a friday afternoon.

Hmm. I just tried it and it's okay. I wonder if it's a permission thing. What does it do for other people?

looks like it is the WP FP, I logged, went to the other login spot and clicked log me in the tried the 5cheduler, worked fine. I find the front page, as lovely as it is, tends to be slow (although as spoodie noted it is faster recently) and it tends to forget I've logged in or still occasionally tells me I'm logged in as someone else until I click through and it reverts to me.
