I'm on Insanity right now, t'was a very rough start but now it's just slightly challenging.

Unrelated, I've replaced my L4D2 infected spawning sound with "Assuming direct control of this form". Fitting.

Also, prolonged oral contact with Thane may cause hallucinations. Or at least Mordin says so.

Finally, a short conversation with Admiral Zaal'Koris vas Qwib Qwib revealed that there is a ship in the flotilla called Iktomi. Geddit?

Finished and everyone lived. 54 hours according to XFire, not bad for a singleplayer game, plus I dinged 5,000 XFire hours. Fucking hell.

Hmm. I got 53 hours. That's a pretty specific amount (and yes, a good stretch for single player). Although as with any game in the last year and a half, I spent a good portion of that AFK.

Just finished in 37 hours, excellence :D
Spoiler:
I didn't have any trouble with people snuffing it though.

Upgraded all of my gear, armour, ship etc.
Managed to get maximum paragon points before even meeting Legion, so thusly managed to keep everyone sweet and rescue Kelly after the kidnapping.

Tali went forth through the steamy pipe and diddled buttons.
Garrus lead the guerilla assault on the fireteam
Grunt escorted crew members back to the ship
Miranda took the second fire team, with her tactical expertise
Samara wobbled a fat shield up for me to walk under
I took Thane and Jack with me on my fights, push and pull = useful against things on floating platforms!

Blew the fucking station sky high.

Finished my renegade run through.
Spoiler:
All my team members lived, though my renegade score was not high enough to keep Legion loyal since I grabbed him as soon as I could to take him to the migrant fleet. Kept the station this time around, and did everything as evil as I could. Red glowy eyes and scars are cool.
Started a female shepard from scratch for a minimal run to see death. That, and I'm tired of being a soldier. Gonna try and keep my paragon/renegade stuff to a bare minimum.

It's also interesting that if you start from scratch
Spoiler:
you didn't save the council so I get to see that version since I've saved them before.

Finished first play through last night after 64 hours  Not quite sure how I managed to take that long but I did (I think) almost every mission available. I'm only 670 off getting the level 30 shiny, so I might spend a couple of more hours wandering around to see if I missed anything.

Everything bar the last assault rifle and biotic damage fully upgraded, all team members loyal and ended up at 100% Paragon and ~75% Renegade.
Spoiler:
Everyone survived the suicide mission. I used:
Vents: Legion
Team Leader 1: Jacob (only thing I ever used him for)
Escort: Mordin
Bubble: Jack
Team Leader 2: Miranda
Final Team: Miranda and Samara

Used the nuke and a burst from the sniper and the Terminator went down in under a minute.

Overall, another enjoyable and highly polished Bioware game. I didn't find it had anywhere near the wow factor of the first though. The mission levels all felt really cramped and the combat got a little repetitive, which perhaps doesn't bode well for SW:TOR. And, whilst the old system was annoying, I miss the inventory and all the different gear you got to play with. Still, if more companies made games like this I'd be a very happy bunny (just give me back my PC controls).
Also, whilst I was reveling in my post victory glow and watching the credits roll by I noticed some of the other cast members: Tricia Helfer, Carrie-Ann Moss even ol' Howling Mad Murdoch.

No wonder I got the wrong-horn whenever Edi spoke to me :)

I did a lol at Joker's robot impression.

For the last bits I used:
Spoiler:
Tali in the vents - Is Legion immune to the heat in there? I'd guess not.
Garrus to lead the second team (piss off Miranda)
Samara and Legion with me
Jacob to rescue the crew (to make him go away)
Garrus for the second team (Lawson: DENIED)
Samara for the bubble
Legion and Grunt with me, then
Samara and Legion again for the win
Since I'm pretty sure I did every mission, I'm not in a massive hurry to play through again, other than to get the twelfth squad member, but I don't think I can face scanning all those planets again.

I found that
Spoiler:
taking Thane & Mordin worked well for the entire end bit worked rather well. Thane was useful with Warp, and Mordin's Incinerate was very handy.

Done it in 40 and a bit hours. Loved it. The story was a bit predictable but the characters were amazing.

One thing I really didn't like about sexing people up was having to look at my default faced Shepard smile, what a prick. Why couldn't he keep his face mask on in the ship as well.

And the Tali romance
Spoiler:
was disappoint. I'd like to get on the Extranet in-game and look up some photos of what quarians look like without the suits. But then I'd probably spend the whole mission in the captains room.
