Sneak (4): 10, 6 + 4 = 20
Hide (4): 9, 7 + 4 = 20
Detect (4): 5, 9 + 4 = 18

That's some hardcore sneaking right there!
Even the automatic doors wont see you coming.

As you make your way up the stairs you notice the fire door on the next floor is not quite closed properly.

I suppose nothing is showing up on my sensors...
I'll take a better look with my scope at the not-quite-closed door, and if it looks OK, I will approach it.

I'll use the previous detect roll. The door's propped open by about an inch, and some kind of putty seems to be wedged in the hinges to stop it closing.

Only floors I have a preference for are 3, 8, 13, 25 and 42. Oh, and the one just below the top floor. The rest can be randomised.

The elevator dings to floor 3 and the doors open. Your camera picks up the balcony overlooking the lobby. It's full of tables and chairs, most with snack foods on. Nobody appears to be there. It'll take a minute of so for the doors to close and the elevator to continue on its merry way.

Well I will approach carefully looking for any kind of blasting cap or wires coming out of the putty.

Yep, there's something coming out in the other side of the door through the gap. You're no demolitions expert, and it's not easy to make out, but it sure looks like little wires to you.

Hey I'm pretty sure this top door is booby-trapped. Looks like some kind of plastic explosive or something. Someone know how to deal with these things?

Ding! The elevator stops on floor 8. It's another cube farm, similar to the one you're in. Nobody to be seen.

Short of triggering it from a distance with a rope or a hook, I think we ought to just leave it in place.
Check the next door up to see if it's got something similar going on, Deej'.

The elevator dings on level 8. More cubes, no people.

Did you miss the part where this is the door to the roof?

I did;

There isn't a door to the roof. The roof is made of glass. The whole top floor of the building is glass. The walls are glass, like every other floor, but the ceiling is glass on the top floor. Which also happens to be the roof. The floor of the top floor isn't glass though.

That sort of reminded me of "Everybody's dead, Dave".
"So the walls are made of glass?"
"Yes Dave, everything's made of glass"
"Even the ceiling?"
"Yes Dave, the ceiling is made of glass"
"How about the top floor?"
"Dave, everything's made of glass."

I misread that then. Well, what do you guys think, should I try pulling out some of the wires?

I think you oughta try another door and see if it's got a similar set-up.
