Heh, they'd have been dead on the first BPN in your campaign. I like what he did with signing forms and stuff, and I liked the manchine grabbing the guy and hauling him away, and I also liked the Necanthrope encounter, but the rest of it seems a bit amateur. I'm a believer in making a squad nothing special for a good few SCL levels - it enhances the feeling that the players are only tiny cogs in the machine, gives more of a dark sense of realism, and makes it all the more satisfying when you
do do something significant.
Also, what the hell were Carriens doing shooting at them?

Spending time!
I am going for the Valhalla hub in the Jaded Perception range (cost 1000c), fitted with Audio Enhancements (30c), Motion Scanner (90c) and an Overlay Monocle (200c) - leaving me with a grand total of 172c left to spend at some point in the future. The Valhalla can support up to 10 pieces of equipment, so once I get a bit more pocket money I should be able to kit myself out a bit more.
Also, after the helpful, albeit grainy, footage that Dirk was able to provide for the Dept. of Subversion on the last BPN, he has put in a request to be equipped with a Virtual Light Monitor. He thinks that it will be of benefit to SLA on future missions.
I may spend some more experience points on Communique, but I'll have to wait for Adobe to finish it's painfully slow update before I look at it.

I've just talked this one out with Roman, but I'll repeat it here so there's not confusion. The old Hardware catalogues I wrote have been superceded by the single PDF version I released (with the red Stormer on the cover). There was a lot of stuff in them that I hadn't proof read properly and either didn't fit in with my World of Progress or was too powerful. If anyone wants stuff from them let me know though and I'll review it because I'm always after adding more content. Eventually I plan on expanding the vehicle section of the catalogue to include civilian vehicles (like a small affordable car), with options for every vehicle advantage. I've also got a rather large GM guide in production that it will be included with, which includes all my custom rules.
EDIT: The guide will also have most of the BPNs I've ran so far too, so you'll all be able to see what could have happened

So, how many of us have made back up characters now?
*raises hand*

Not me.
Grimmie has the invincibility skill.
It's in the fineprint in the source book.
And it's written backwards.
In German.
Dogpants didn't think I would find it.

My back up is a Brain Waster. You guys *really* don't want Gerald to die

I have not, though if I did I'd probably stick with the same kind of character (i.e.: Wraith Raider scout) but change up his skill sets and such.

Every squad needs a Wraith scout. It's the law.

Well someone's got to rummage through bins and look nonchalant.

This will be the first one I can't make.
I'm out at a family thing on Saturday.
I'll be pretty busy on Friday, but I'll be at home at least.
I may have to visit Gerald's mum or autopilot.

The BPN should be survivable without you. If it lasts more than one night then you can consider yourself to have been on autopilot, but I think we should get it done so it's probably a Gerald's mum job.

If you don't, theres at least a chance that Gerald may horse the thing on you. Whilst shouting "PUT IT ON! PUT IT ON!"
