You going to have a summon of Samedi then? It's +4 to hits if you're inside the gems sphere, or you can carefully back away until you know you're out of it and summon then. Pick an option and roll them bones!Phlegastus wrote:I do not know how the gem would react to the presence of another spirit. I would think that if they manifest outside of it's sphere of influence they will be able to study it to some extent without suffering any direct affect. Of course that is wholly conjecture on my part.

After looking thoughtfully at the slate for a moment...
Lex is making sure everything on him is still stealthed, and then hopping back out the window.Lex wrote:Sorry kid, last time I used a computer people were still plugging themselves into the walls. Think you might be right, lets split. Maybe come back tonight, when theres less guys. Im more of a night person anyway...

Joose - you hopping as in just jumping or are you going to climb down?
Deej - You can climb/jump the grapple gun will retract the wire from the ground if you want.
It's about 3m drop so 4 damage, resisted using body + impact armour/2 + gymnastics so both of you likely won't feel a thing.

Actually, re-reading the jumping rules, you can jump vertically (including down) a distance equals to Agility + gymnastics divided by 2. Any spillover is then treated as falling. So im going to try that:HereComesPete wrote:It's about 3m drop so 4 damage, resisted using body + impact armour/2 + gymnastics so both of you likely won't feel a thing.
Agility 7 + gym 0 / 2 (round up) = 4 dice: 3,2,6,6, 2 hits
That reduces my falling distance to 2m which is 2 damage:
body 5 + half impact 1 = 6 dice: 3,5,1,5,2,6, 3 hits
That worked!
I'll then also be sneaking out the gate, stealth on:
infiltration 4 + agility 7 = 11 dice: 5,1,6,4,2,4,1,5,6,6,1, 5 hits

You're both on the ground and heading out the gate.
Joose, you make it fine. Deject, you make it out fine. Mainly because the guard is still snoozing with his feet up, any noise you might have made is covered by his tunes.
Both of you roll a perception test, hearing for specialisation purposes.

Behind you the workers are trooping back toward the factory, the robots zipping about without cease.Guard wrote:...

Phlegastus turns towards Aiden, who sits rocking and occasionally scrabbling furiously through the books around him. In a gentle voice, almost like to a small child it asksPhlegastus wrote:Left lying about by gods? Oh dear. I'm afraid I've never heard of these stones. Possibly because my race cannot see them as it were. Still, I have a reference with which to work. For that I am very grateful Voudoun, and to your spirit friend I offer my humblest thanks.
Aiden grasps the amulet with a snorted squeal of alarm, then extends a shaking hand with extended finger toward the pile of books.Phlegastus wrote:Aiden, do the stones of Al Qaum mean anything to you?
Remember it's affecting all of you, even Jon to an extent. It's likely too long in its presence will start to affect Jasper and Firenza and eventually Jon too. Inside the radiated sphere you mages would quickly start to become like Aidan unless you could fight its affects better than he has so far.Phlegastus wrote:Well, that's the most responsive he has been to me since this damned thing was left here. A toy for a 'god' that has the power to warp and consume.
I hate to impose upon you further, but would you please stay and help Aiden and me research this thing? I offer money or powerful relics that the store has in return
