I hope no one tells my copy of the game that.

Two really? Hmm, I'll have to log onto my EA account and have a looksie, I only recall having one, despite pre-ordering the delux version.

All done! 79 hrs of awesome gameplay, that was well worth the cash. Probably one of the most enjoyable RPG's I've ever played.

Good things include:

Sense of humour, attachment to your party members, exploding gobbets of flesh and slow motion stabby death.

Not so good things include:

OP DLC content (I never used anything else once I had the Dragon Armour
Spoiler:
and superman sword for that matter, not even the shit you you get in the woods
.
Ummm....

This is true. The DLC stuff is superior to anything I've picked up so far.

By the time I could use the Dragon Armor (lvl 10) I already had a better Helm and Boots. And the gloves weren't worth the armor/fatigue. And afaik all you get is +1armor/+1defense for set bonus so....pffft.

I love this game but it is quite lacking in the item department...

I must be doing it wrong, I'm level 14 and I still can't wear it.
mind you, I do try and balance between strength, resilience and dexterity.

Well...about lvl 4ish...I planned out all my stats/talents/dragonarmortime up to lvl 14. Since I was warrior/sword+shield, I only concentrated on my str+dex and only put a couple pts in con/willpower.

I also have a +2 all attrib helm, a +2str/dex ring, and the stat bonuses from the FADE which got me the 38 str quicker than expected.

As a warrior sword n shield tanky type I put all stats into Str & Cons with a fair amount in Dex (for armour and hitting things on the headability) and some into Willpower (enough so I could actually shield bash at least once before running out of breath).

The Dragonplate chestplate was the real kicker, cos the bonuses on it were nuts. Nothing else really comes close, which is a shame.

When I was warrior I don't think I ever touched dex, it was mainly str with minor increases to con and will. I didn't have any problems with hitting things with 18~ dex and with wade's armor (which I thought was better then blood dragon, which I only used for maybe 4 levels) it didn't matter if I dodged attacks cause I was only getting hit for 1.

There are a few armor sets that are better then the Blood dragon, I think the full juggy set gave att and con, there is a set that begins with an "R" that was good, can't remember the name, the full Dead Warrior or whatever dwarven chaste it was also was a good set. Now the starfang sword I will agree has blown any 1hand or 2hand sword out of the water.

The only items I want to complain about are the bows, where the hell are socketed bows? I used Leliana's story bow for 90% of the game, when I played as a ranger I maybe only used 3 different ones because there are no decent named ones. I think I ended with one that had 1% range crit with rapid aim. Now that I think about it, staves suck too.

My level 20 (woo!) rogue is wearing the Warden Commander armor from Warden's Keel, and it's pretty good. Even though it is plate armor, it doesn't cause that much fatigue, so it's actually quite useful.

heh interesting, hand't thought of putting a rogue (or ranged rogue or arcane warrior for that matter) into the warden's stuff.

Wade only ever made me fire proof leather stuff, which I plonked on my rogue since it was better than most medium armour and had lots of Dex bonuses. Did I miss something?

The Juggy set has nice resistances to types of damage but seemed lacklustre elsewhere which is why I stuck to Blood Dragon in the end. Ultimately on normal difficulty there was never a fight where I really needed to think about gear to get through it, it's just the MMO player in me wanting to min/max :P

Right now, Sten is wearing the full Blood Dragon set, Oghren is wearing the Juggernaut set, I'm wearing the Warden Commander set, and Leliana is wearing the Superior Drakeskin set. The others are wearing mostly random bits that are the best I can put on them of the stuff I have. I think Alistair is particularly underarmored, which is one of the reasons I don't use him that much any more.

Spoiler:
If you kill a dragon for it's scales he will make you either a set of medium armor or some nice massive stuff. Never got the medium but the heavy was nice for my guy, +75 Fire resist iirc and good defensive stats.

Yeah, kill the High Dragon. That was my best armour, then the Dead Thing Bone set, Keep Warden, Juggernaut, Dwarves set and Red Dragon-painted stuff after. Never bothered getting all the painted stuff.

I just got starfang and combined the warden's keep gauntlets and boots with the blood dragon armour, and the helmet of honnleath (which has wings on and I love a helmet with wings) suddenly I have become fucking awesome.

I also have a dragon scale that I can use to have it turned into a massive armour, but at the moment my strength isn't high enough.

Does anyone else find this one of the most rage inducing games ever? :x

Nope. A couple of bits were frustrating, but nothing I haven't overcome so far.

Actually, I have got the rage a few times with:

Party members charging off to attack monsters who were minding their own business
Party members refusing to attack unless I was controlling them
Party members running directly into traps they knew were there

This, this and this.

that and sudden changes in difficulty.

Think I managed to encounter a bug though. It's not a main quest one, and it's pretty unimportant.

In the Elven camp by the Brecillian forest, there's that young elf who's trying to pork the other young red headed one. What dialogue options did you lot take?

I remember asking why he couldn't go hunting, offering to fetch a pelt, then saying bye, then returning and saying I'd talk to the red head. Which I did and caused the quest info to update to ~"spoken to girl, no go unless he hunts". However, by the looks of it, as I didn't choose to speak to Tuvok about him or even offer to take him hunting, before I cleared out the Ruins and sorted it all out I had no dialogue choices, and since I've been back, I've only seen him once, a brief conversation about now he can go hunting.

However, the quest hasn't shifted over to completed and is still saying the ~"spoke to girl, no go until hunt" blurb. The young chap is nowhere to be found in camp or anywhere in the forest. Anyone else run across this apparent bug?
