Ok, so, I wasnt quite sure what you needed to roll to make an existing SIN look like a corp guy of some sort like you are suggesting, so I looked it up.
Basically, there are no rules for what you are suggesting.
Making a new SIN is a massively difficult extended test (target of 32xrating, 1 week period), so im guessing you wont want to do that. What you could do is take the existing fake SIN and fake some messages from a corp you could associate to the fake SIN to back up your story of corp guy being sent in to check on a corp citizens body. That would just take a spoof test to make the fake message. It wouldn't stand up to as much scrutiny as a proper fake ID, but on the other hand wont take several months to put together.
To speed things along, and to keep you guessing, ive done the spoof test for you. No, im not telling you the result, you will have to wait and see.
As for the bodies in the morgue, you would have got that info when you pulled the schedule for your targets autopsy, so: 4 bodies down there total. Your target, 1 male ork go-ganger, 1 minor executive from a Ares subsidiary and 1 that is just down as Jane Doe.
Doing a spoof and edit on the reception book is so bloody trivial that I wont bother making you roll for it. Consider it done.

I was assuming the spoof option. If we can make it reasonably convincing at the DocWagon end and switch our target for the Jane Joe then hopefully nobody will have any reason to be suspicious.
How about saying the Jane Doe is a possible Renraku employee and we've been sent to give an ID. With my corp knowledge is that fairly common (as far as dead corp employees go)? There's no reason for anyone to particularly give a shit about a corp being interested in an unidentified body. If we can switch our bodies then we might even be able to blag taking it with their consent and get a potentially bothersome corpse off their hands.

Its *possible* but depends on a lot of things. A standard, legal SIN would have lots of biometric data attached to it, including DNA samples, fingerprints etc, so ID'ing a body is normally pretty straight forward. Theres plenty of reasons this might not be the case though: If the body is significantly fucked up, ie burnt or some really horrible magic effects, then they might have difficulty, or if the person in question recently had some sort of genetherapy and the records hadnt updated yet, or (of course) if the person in question was a bit....off the records. Shadowrunners are not the only deniable assets a corp would have.Dog Pants wrote:How about saying the Jane Doe is a possible Renraku employee and we've been sent to give an ID. Of course, it might also just be that the body hasnt been processed by the clinic yet. Even in the 2070's, DNA tests and the like take a non-zero amount of time to run.
So, in short: common, no, but not so uncommon that it would arouse suspicion, depending on the state of the corpse. And before you ask, theres nothing on file about them for suspected cause of death or anything.

We spoof the message to be you going in to ID the Ganger as a wanna be runner who knocked over a corp warehouse and see if he has anything wired into his skull that may help you track the rest of his stupid team.
Much more reasonable, as gangers often go the Runner route, they put thier lives on the line all the time without the payoff, so its a logical jump to Shadowrunner, but not as easy as it looks.
Also, balls to swapping bodies, we just swoop and scoop, and let DocWagon cover the loss of the corpse themselves to save thier own public face and stock market projections. As long as they don't actually autopsy our target, its no harm, no foul, whatever they put out.
N-zo will make that the cover story for Al, Leland is a wagemage trying to see if there are any astral tags to take as a lead going in with his Supervisor.

Deckers get you in and out of places easier and narrowing your`searches, once the action kicks off, they are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.
Plus I remember when you all went off against the wendigo thing and dithered so long you ran out of time
saddle up guys and lets get the plan moving
