I too have the base game, but wouldn't offer much in the way of challenge. I think I scraped a draw against the CPU once.

Edit: reading the previous page, it looks like I did manage a win or two in the end.

LE doesn't work with normal BB though does it?

If not, do many 5punkers have LE?

Nope, but it's better and cheaper. And everyone playing at the moment has LE (although I'm sure there would be people playing BB if it was compatible).

Ah, well if everyone currently playing has LE then my credit card bill is going up :)

Christ, the tutorial is crap. First two games against easy NPC's ended in a 4-1 defeat and a 2-2 draw. Kinda getting the hang of it now.

Lack of information on the dice side of it though despite the game harping on about it.

The tutorial decided to fuck up rather on me. Tried some kind of game, vampires weren't a good idea.

Yeah, the tutorial is useless. Far better to grab someone who knows roughly what they are doing, and play a couple of friendly multiplayer games with them.

No. Vampires have an annoying tendancy to eat their own guys, then fuck off in a huff.

Some of the teams are easy-mode noob friendly, some are average and well balanced, and some are either in there for the lols or for a challenge. Halflings, for example, are legendarily shite, and only picked by people who dont know better, or people who find better teams too easy.

We could probably do with a quick rough breakdown of teams, just in brief noob friendly terms. ie:

Vampires: mixed style, hard to play
Orcs: Bashy, average difficulty
Dorfs: Tanky, noob friendly.

 I have one for exactly the same reason.

I think I wrote a quick breakdown of the teams in my guide. I'll update it for the LE (as far as the teams I've played).

Added a quick reference along these lines to the race guide. It's not complete because I've not played all the races and not had enough experience playing against some to make a call on it. Also edited Dark Elves and Goblins to reflect slight (and much needed) buffs in the Legendary Edition.

Good god this game is random, playing the single player campaign I was winning 3-0 halflings vs ogres but had to replay as I missed out on one completion for the game requirements. In the replay my team got smashed to bits in a couple of turns and I had no idea how to combat the huge ogre cage around the snotlings.
