I think Grimmie is probably right. I'm guessing some kind of Flux demon or something is possessing these people, causing them to go and find another "victim" for it to possess and then kill the "killer." That could explain why this kind of MO has been going on for so long, and why the killings didn't stop for good when the previous squad killed their guy. It may have taken whatever is possessing these people 5 years to find another host.Well I lost the trail so I doubt there' much danger, but it pays to be careful.

You don't find anything that Eraser didn't already pick up. The slits up the sides of his mouth look as though they were done weeks ago, and he doesn't appear to have been taking very good care of himself for at least as long as that.

This is just a straight up guess, but what if the mouth cutting has something to do with the way the possession seems to jump from one person to another?
