Well I lost the trail so I doubt there' much danger, but it pays to be careful.
I think Grimmie is probably right. I'm guessing some kind of Flux demon or something is possessing these people, causing them to go and find another "victim" for it to possess and then kill the "killer." That could explain why this kind of MO has been going on for so long, and why the killings didn't stop for good when the previous squad killed their guy. It may have taken whatever is possessing these people 5 years to find another host.
You don't find anything that Eraser didn't already pick up. The slits up the sides of his mouth look as though they were done weeks ago, and he doesn't appear to have been taking very good care of himself for at least as long as that.
This is just a straight up guess, but what if the mouth cutting has something to do with the way the possession seems to jump from one person to another?
Anyways, as soon as Phoebe and K'trr meet up with me I want to continue searching the area for our victim/killer.
After a while of searching through the dim and rotting tunnels, enough time for people to catch up, you notice a small crowd of people gathered around something on the floor on the edge of a rubble-strewn open area.
They look to have found a girl's corpse. From the comments it sounds to have been mutilated, but you can't see clearly. You hear the word 'Subteranneans' mentioned.
Assuming we're all together, I'll meander over and pop my head in to the crowd and see if the girl matches the description of the one we just went looking for.
Hopefully my human-ness should provide a decent cover. Not sure about the paints though.
Phoebe decides to check everything out as well and heads over to the crowd of people around the body just after Grimmie.
