I would imagine their activation servers will go into meltdown (imagine HL2 and/or when Steam very first came out but much worse)
Difference is, Valve are pretty fucking good at what they do, just got overwhelmed by demand on the first major steam release.Grimmie wrote:You think that many people will have pre-ordered spore with EA Downloader?
I would've thought HL2 would've be worse, but I might be wrong.
I reckon you'd be surprised. The price is in Euros unless you look really hard (on the websites at least), and a lot of people will fall for getting their money back from the Creature Creator.Grimmie wrote:You think that many people will have pre-ordered spore with EA Downloader?

The standard version costs under £30 on all the shops I looked at.Baliame wrote:This is bullshit. UK version costs 40 pounds, US version costs 50 dollars. And pounds are worth twice as much as dollars. And I may not buy the US version.
I have both versions on pre-order from Game, just in case im feeling stupidly flush on Friday.Grimmie wrote:The only MASSIVE EXPENSIVE version is Game's Galactic Edition, which has some extra books and DVDs with it.
Pfffft. That would be about 12 hours for me.FatherJack wrote:I've preloaded it from EA, 3.8G, took about 50 minutes, says release is in 6 hours, no sign of any download issues so far.
