I would imagine their activation servers will go into meltdown (imagine HL2 and/or when Steam very first came out but much worse)

I would've thought HL2 would've be worse, but I might be wrong.

Difference is, Valve are pretty fucking good at what they do, just got overwhelmed by demand on the first major steam release.

I reckon you'd be surprised. The price is in Euros unless you look really hard (on the websites at least), and a lot of people will fall for getting their money back from the Creature Creator.

This is bullshit. UK version costs 40 pounds, US version costs 50 dollars. And pounds are worth twice as much as dollars. And I may not buy the US version. :(

I have both versions on pre-order from Game, just in case im feeling stupidly flush on Friday.

I've preloaded it from EA, 3.8G, took about 50 minutes, says release is in 6 hours, no sign of any download issues so far.
