He has the strength of 10 ants!

Being directed by someone rubbish, unfortunately.

I like Paul Rudd but I can not get very excited for a superhero who's power is being very small. This is gonna be a hard sell Marvel...

Even as a hardcore Marvel fan i'm not expecting this to be the cream of the Marvel films. But saying that, I wasn't expecting a whole lot out of Guardians of the Galaxy either, and that turned out to be ace, so who the hell knows? Peyton Reed (director) has a deeply uninspiring imdb page, but the story was written by Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish, and the screenplay was by the guy who wrote Anchorman, so there is a decent chance of some laughs.

Also, to be fair to Ant-Man as a character, he doesn't just get small. He retains the strength of a full size man whilst tiny (and if you are not sure why that would be good, imagine being beaten up by a guy that is too small to see) and can control ants (if you are not sure why that would be good, consider fire ants). Saying Ant-man is a superhero whos power is being very small is like saying Spider-man is a superhero whos power is walking on walls, or Batman is just a guy who dresses like a bat. Its not wrong, but its not entirely right either.

And hey, Guardians of the Galaxy managed to make an awesome character out of a tree that can only say three words.

I surprisingly enjoyed groot far more than I expected, I also liked him more than rocket raccoon until the bit where he gets pissed and flips out about what happened to him, sudden personality explosion was awesome.

It's said that Wright left due to creative differences, so how much of those twos efforts will make it to the screen is in question. But we'll have to wait and see. Recent Marvel stuff has been pretty good though.

I would like to see it as I did quite enjoy Rare exports.

Hrm. On the one hand, that looks quite entertaining in a bloody stupid kind of way. On the other hand, it looks bloody stupid. I dunno.

Looks cheesy as shit, doesn't really do the game justice from the trailer.

Will I watch it? oh fuck yes, stupid action is always a good way to waste 90 minutes.

I guess everyone involved in making that didn't play hitman the stealthy way.

I really want a film where a sinister man wanders around dressed as a chicken and then someone has a fatal "accident".

That sentence reads as sarcasm. It isnt.

I was just wondering if there was a type of villain role Christoph Waltz hasn't played yet, but with 'bond villain' I think he now has a full deck of villain cards.

This trailer didnt do much to convince me that Ant-Man was going to be up to the standard of the other Marvel films. Until just after the big end title, at about 2:10. Visual gag almost killed me.

I now elevate it to "cautious optimism".

Got some chuckles out of that trailer. Hopefully they go the way of Guardians and embrace the ridiculous (and it certainly looked like they are from that)
