Excellent :D We would've freaked out and gone into a massive gun battle.
Good work giving it a hard kick! Joose and I just had a chat about our next plan of action.

We reckon that it's going to be able to stand up pretty easily. If Phoebe can keep it down with sharp kicks, and not have her legs cut off.

Once we're down the lift Deject can take a picture as evidence, I can stand behing Kt'rr and then take a well aimed shot at one of those grenades - as I know they do a mighty big bang.

Sound good?
As soon as we get in the lift Kt'rr is going to kneel in a firing stance.
I'm standing behind him and propping my gun up on a bipod on his shoulder, in a firing stance also.
As soon as the grille is opened I'll start to aim with my laser sight and scope at the grenade, a -6 modifier.
I'll signal for everyone to clear away from it and keep aiming as much as I can, I want to try and cancel out that modifier as soon as possible.

If this is all okay, I'll wait for your confirmation and make a rifle roll.

It actually doesn't seem to be able to get back to its feet in the limited space of the crawlway. By the time you're in position in the elevator everyone else has taken cover (well, the NPCs certainly have), and the Buzzard is still wobbling around on its back.

I'll look around for a pole arm or something to push it with.

Detect: 6, 9 + 3 = 18
Ha ha ha! What a pathetic little toy! At least a pig could stand up again, and a pig has to fight to live. These little robots are just lights and clockwork.

You don't see anything obvious. You could maybe cut a section of pipe from the walls though. The Buzzard has stopped kicking. K'Trr and Grimmie can see it has, mostly by chance, manoeuvred itself so that its cameras are facing you.

That doesn't sound good... reinforcements may come D:

Would it be possible for me or phobe perhaps to shoot the cameras?

You can certainly try, although Grimmie is already lining up a shot behind you.

I think it's more likely lining up a shot on you guys. Any one with rival company knowledge want to make a roll to see how far the remote control range on these things is?

Mmmnnno.

Rifle.
10,4 +10 = 24
(+1 Bipod, +1 Laser, +1 Scope)
(-6 Weapon aim) = 21

Feel free to add any of the aims I got as we were decending in the lift.
I'll wait as long as I can and try and get as many aims as I can in a standing/bipod stance.

When Grimmie shoots I will draw my AR and bring to bear on the Buzzard.

The round hits the grenade and it comes off, bouncing a little way down the crawlway. The drone sits silent for a second, then explodes. The blast rocks the basement, and everyone in it feels the wave of pressure, but nobody is hurt.

Apart from the drone itself, one hopes.

Hahaha :)

"The drone totters out of the crawlway, a blackened and flaming robotic skeleton of what it once was, red eyes glowing as it relentlessly advances"

Nah, it's toast.

Risikko tells his team to get about their business, and the white coats start examining the corpses.

He pokes Jacobson's body with his toe. As he does, one of his white coats shouts over.

Technician wrote:This is a machine. I've never seen one like it, but it's basically human shaped drone by the looks of it. I can't imagine a drone being able to pass as anything even remotely human though, there must be some sort of human input. My guess is radio control.
The Ops start helping the white coats move the bodies into the lift, and one of the suits starts to quietly question the captured techs. The other is talking quietly on his phone.

Risikko addresses whoever is in the basement;
Risikko wrote:We had an idea something like this was going on, which is why we chose your squad. When you uncovered that manchine cult we had a feeling it wasn't a manchine behind it. Looks like they were using the drone to manipulate them. I hope that losing it, along with some of their techs, has put them off continuing this project. Since it looks like the brains behind it all got away, though, I doubt it. We'll be looking out for more signs, and we'll probably need your experience if we find anything. I don't think I need to bother with cover stories any more.

Oh yes, speaking of stories, I don't think it would do the company's reputation much good to see how those Chrome Warriors ended up. At least two will probably still be remembered by some, and DarkNight would certainly put their own twist on things. I'm afraid you'll have to keep any footage you took to yourselves. I wouldn't like to see you set back though, since I might need you in the future, so you can make your own decisions as to what you do with any of the equipment you've retrieved. I can get the paperwork fixed up to sign over whatever you want to keep, the rest you can hand in for the bonus. Up to you.
