Crikey. We probably don't need all those. The town's up to the correct height now isn't it? The only thing I can think we'd need large amounts of soil for now is filling in the catacombs beneath the town.

We probably don't, but its not that hard to store them, and it would be a pisser to dump them all only to later go "well, this thing we didn't think of would be *easy* if we had thousands of mud"

:above: this.

Also, I have a mental image of a massive cavernous warehouse of stuff, so more soil is fun :)

Like in Raiders of the Lost Ark! That's awesome.

To be honest, if we're going to do High Kyrke at least partially accurately, we are going to need looootttss of dirt. It's built in to the side of a massive mountain.

... I had a little play with the stairs, remarkably, they still work.

Also now they shut themselves after a few seconds.

Actually, that's a good point: if we do go for high kyrke, it mightbe easier to use the stuff we have got here to build an artificial mountain, rather than find an appropriately huge existing hill and digging into it.

There would be no nasty surprises concealed within that way. Unless we put them in.

We could set Berk and Ty loose on the nasty surprises.

Late to the party as usual chaps. I've recently been playing with binvox/viewvox. I can't remember who pointed it out but it's basically a program for slicing up your 3d models (created in max/maya etc) and breaking them down so you can recreate them layer by layer in Minecraft, using plans from viewvox. If there's any structures you want building or planning out, just let me know - I'll happily contribute to this.

I think that's enough storage for now :)

Also, got rid of the old panic room (the beds and mine are still accessible) just to make the place look a bit more finished, and not like an evil genius' snowman army lair.
