I'm not sure, but I think you probably might want to do what the mean lady says.

Let me find then and then we can engage them in battle.

Those of you still in the lobby see one of the elevators' displays start counting upwards rapidly (gauss lifts move fast). It stops shortly afterwards on the 6th floor*.
*I've not got my notes, this may not be entirely accurate but it's something low.

Aaaand that's where the first tango is. I suggest we cut power to these if we can do so silently, you know, just in case.

Well you get to the fire door for level 6 with no signs of bad guys.

I suppose it's too much to hope for a gap around a fire door that I can get my stalk through...
I'll get on the comms and see if I can get the fire alarm disabled. Is anyone down at the APC still?

The Shiver captain is, and Kirk should be around somewhere. Roman might be if he hasn't caught up yet.

Well I'll contact the shiver captain.
Hey do you know if the fire alarms are still active? If they are is there any way to shut them off? We're at a fire door, and I don't want any alarms going off.

Any ventilation shaft entrances in the stairwell? and if so, how big are they?

Lots, but they're not big enough to climb in, maybe a foot square. The whole ventilation system branches from the central pillar of the starwell, as does the electrics and networking. Sort of like the building's spine.

Well, let's have a quick vote:
