Thinking about it, roll playing a full weeks stakeout could be immensely dull. If everyone puts up what their plans are (like deject has with his regular astral scouting), I'll then fast forward to the next significant event.

That reminds me, Lelands assensings:

Alex Littletree is awakened (magic rating 4), but you cant tell the specifics. Possibly an adept, as you cant spot the telltale astral signatures of foci, which you would expect if he were a mage or shaman. He (fairly unsurprisingly) doesn't have any implants that you can detect.

Xa, on the other hand, has definitely got implants. His aura is piss weak, showing a lowish essence (3 to 4). You can identify a low end Wired Reflexes package, and a cyber spur, but the biggest implant you are not sure about. Do a straight logic roll for me, to see if you can work it out.

Both of them show similar emotional states: kind of excited and worried at the same time.

I shall continue doing what I'm doing. I've got as subtle a comms as I can, and I've secreted my hand cannon about me. I'm wearing Frank's smelly coat (did you let your dog sleep on this?), and an armoured bodysuit underneath. I'l try to relay their comings and goings to the others so they can tail them if they like. Other than that I'll just collect general information and make myself at home being trampy.

Joose, can has costing on drug and if I can obtain it please.

A motel room with 25% off will be 75¥ a day, I'd like two plz, next to each other, as far away from lift as possible, third floor, busy streets etc etc.

I'll head down via public transport and shanks' pony as soon as I get all my new stuff and pack it all up in my bags.

didn't see that post you put :above:

I'll wait out on the new stuff, when it's all there I'll pack the guns and some rounds as well as pistols, tazer and machete. I'll don the new jacket after beating it up a bit and the goggles too. Old combats, armour and whatnot as per. Get a hair cut and get it coloured dark purple to go with the steampunk look.

Then get a taxi to a few miles from my new hovels. Hike the rest avoiding the main areas we're staking out. Once in I'll set up the equipment, lights pointed at door, IR sensors on portals etc. I'll stay inside off the street during daylight hours, ambling about the streets and bars later on to get a feel for when stuff is going wrong or about to kick off. Again steering clear of the targets as much as possible.

Hmm, I guess for learning about the area/inhabitants some perception rolls?

Intuition 4 + Perception 3 +3 actively looking +4 cyber eyes = 14 - 7 hits

Intuition 4 + Perception 3 +3 actively looking +4 cyber ears = 14 - 4 hits

Sorry, missed the bit about the drug. You can looks for some if you want, but its going to be 3-4 days till you find it.
Logic (5): 2, 6, 6, 5, 1: 3 hits.
Whilst you are not sure *exactly* what it is, you recognise it as being very similar to something you saw once in a Simsense actor. Possibly used for recording sensations. Either way, bloody pricey stuff for a street ganger.

Hmm, I guess for learning about the area/inhabitants some perception rolls?
Perception is more for spotting things than general learning of stuff, but your looking about does spot that the Verge is crawling with First Nations, and a lot of them are pretty well armed. Not *as* well armed as you guys, maybe, but they outnumber you quite a bit.

As for the rest of you, you quickly work out that these guys are both pushing drugs. Specifically, this new Tempo stuff. Alex is hitting sleazy clubs and the likes, in no particular pattern, and is making a decent amount of sales. From what you are hearing, he is selling a lot more than is expected. Xa is more aiming at university areas, and has a routine like clockwork. In sharp contrast to Alex, he is not doing so good at the sales.

This takes us to the end of day 4, with Alex leaving the safehouse, presumably off to make sales. You notice this time, though, that he is taking a large suitcase, and one of Niks drones sees that it is packed full of Tempo.

What are the odds on him coming into the bar that Chopper is working at?

Okay, I'll skip the memory loss drug and just trust Frank's fists to create any necessary amnesia.

So Frank is now down in the area waiting on any calls from Al, Nikolai or Chopper. Polishing guns, drinking buzz lite and smoking plenty of red apples.

Where are Leland and N-zo operating from?

I can be pretty much anywhere as I move around so quickly in astral space, but obviously if I need to to in my body then I should be somewhere nearby. How far away from the Verge is Frank's shop?

The whole of the verge is only a couple miles wide. Say half a mile away.

Franks place is in downtown, South of council island near the downtown, bellevue and renton district border. So to the inner edge of the verge is 15 miles along the various interstates that go through the suburbs.

Like joose said, the verge is quite skinny. It can't expand too much west or east because different government horses control either side and push it back all the time. So safe house to pretty much anywhere in the verge will only be a mile, two at a stretch.

Working off his previous pattern, pretty much nill. He has never hit a place in the Verge itself so far.

He appears to be heading in the direction of Tacoma.

What do we know so far then? At the moment my only plan is to bum around outside their compound, but I feel as though I should be doing something more proactive.

Well if he's heading that way a drone following him should be okay, it might be a bit sparse in signal around the verge but as he heads toward the more populated areas we can track and chalk down the places he visits to build a list of habits and locations. That's all our contact wants at the moment.

I doubt we'll be asked to track them and nothing more so I think it would be better just to keep Frank in the safehouse, chopper working bars and you shuffling round in a big old coat, stinking like a drain and swearing at walls and such. Even though it's not as much fun as running round shooting things and blowing stuff up it'll help more if we need to be more obvious in our work later on.

Yeah sounds good. I guess setting up a revolving observation wouldn't be a bad idea either, say 10 minutes each out of every hour.

I can't help but feel that one of my flying drones would stick out in a signal-less area like this.
