Phoebe and K'trr head back to the shop Lucinda worked at to talk more to the shop manager.
Phoebe to Manager wrote:Hi there again. Thanks for helping us earlier and letting us know Lucinda did not come to work. I have some people checking in on her soon. I decided to come back to ask you a few more questions if you don't mind.
Phoebe gustures to the manager to come over to an area a little more private to talk.
Phoebe wrote:We were wondering if it is pretty common for her to just not show up to work or if this is out of the ordinary for her. Also, is there anything you know about her private life, like her friends? Had she been acting strange lately? Did she look different or have any change in attitude? Don't worry, I am sure she is fine, these are just some standard questions we ask when someone is reported missing.

Damn you people who can post whilst at work!

Best get a move on so we're not all overlapping. Assuming the Shiver Sergeant has arranged for the bodies to be taken out of the chiller and stuck in a lab, I shall attempt to do a Forensics and Detect test on them. Can't remember how many bodies there were but I think it's fair if I do a separate roll for each of them. I'll go for 4 bodies to start off with:

Body 1
Forensics: 10,3,+6 = 19
Detect: 4,2,+8 = 14

Body 2
Forensics: 10,5,+6 = 21
Detect: 1,3,+8 = 12

Body 3
Forensics: 3,2,+6 = 11
Detect: 3,1,+8 = 12

Body 4
Forensics: 10,4,+6 = 20
Detect: 2,7,+8 = 17

Good forensics rolls, but the detect ones were surprisingly sucky.

deej, being the tracker he is, manages to follow the killer's trail for a while before losing it.
[12:31] [5punk] Dog Pants: Not bad. You track down through several levels and across the sector, losing the trail eventually in a run down industrial facility close to the centre
At least we have a general idea where the guy is located in.

Where the hell have you been, San Juan? Seems everyone's going there these days.

It's a nice place, why not?

Dirk:

You're pretty sure that all of t hem were killed by the same person, although the weapons used were different every time. Each was a deliberate, rather than frenzied, attack with whatever sharp impliment came to hand. Also, you're not sure if it's the creepiness of the mutilations or not, but you get a very vague feeling of oppression around the bodies.

Phoebe to cafe owner wrote:Right. When she left this morning was she ending her shift? Then didn't show up for the next one? Gee how often did this poor girl work!? Are you sure there isn't anything else you may know? We'll get out of your hair if not.

Phoebe over comms to Dirk wrote:Dirk, dunno if you heard me last time. Is there any info down there about the killer that was caught and killed 5 years go? Did we figure that out at all?
Sorry, forgot if we looked into that..

Dirk wrote:Good point I'll check with the Sarge. By the way, these bodies are creepy - some bad juju coming off them. I thought it might be like a Nec aura at first, but I really don't know.

Sergeant, do you remember a case similar to this one about 5 years back? A squad of Ops were sent in and they apparently killed the guy doing it. Do you still have anything in the evidence locker from back then, weapons and such that the killer used? And can you remember the name of the squad who took him out?

Cafe Owner wrote:She works a lot, same as me. If she doesn't we both lose our income. But yeah, that's about the size of it. Look, I don't know how else I can help you. Just try to find her. This place'd die without her, and she's good girl. That's rare down here.
Shiver wrote:I've only been here a year. Don't know anything about them. You can use one of our computers if you like though.

Deej, reckon you can do a search on the squad that dispatched the previous killer?

Isn't deject at some industrial facility following his tracking?
I think one of you is going to have to default the computer use, or wait for him to backtrack, seeing as I don't suppose Deject has the shiver database on his oyster.

Does the guy in the bed look like the picture Deej pulled up of the guy who's apartment we trashed to find about this place?

Tracking = 8,5 +5 - 18. Can I tell what sort of struggle (if any) happened in this place, was the body dragged etc?

Now you mention it, he does look like the guy in the CCTV clip. It doesn't look like there was much of a struggle. A bit of dancing about maybe and a few splashes of blood on the floor. The guy hardly put up a fight. He was definately put in the bed after he was killed though.

Eraser, over the Com wrote:I got our Killer here guys, and he is very dead.

Question is, if he attacked the girl and she won, why is he in the bed, and why has she run off rather than call it in?

Think this might be down to why Dour could be interested?

Grimmie gives a frown and paces around the room for a second.

Is it just me, or has our girl here suddenly taken on the characteristics of our serial killer, like she's adopted his MO?
I definitely think we need to call Dour, there must be some creepy Ebb stuff going on if this is jumping between people.

Grim reluctantly calls in to the rest of the squad to share his thoughts, mentioning the 'vampire' style killings Phoebe thought up earlier.
A smile is carved, the dodgy stuff jumps, the killer is killed, the victim becomes the killer.
Grimmie, calling in wrote:Mr. Dour?
I have a hunch I'd like to share with you..
I'll roleplay it if you want, but I think it'd be me giving him the info we have up to this point, plus my thoughts.
