I think that's a very nice touch and aids with building them up as characters brilliantly. Morrigan laying into Alistair at quiet moments with sarcastic and cutting comments always makes me stop and listen

i rather enjoy the npc conversations too, was bumming about a city when suddenly morrigan and leliania starting bitch fighting over which one i would prefer

I only just discovered the draggy bit on the button bar too. Been getting annoyed with juggling buttons around all the time :shakefist:

Oh yeah, that's handy, or will be when I get more skills. A cheat sheet of UI tips like this would be useful. I'm not volunteering, just saying. I'm still chuffed about discovering the tab key.

My PC had issues with the green mist at the zombie invasion...so, I tweaked the video settings a bit and forgot to put em back. About 3/4's thru the FADE I noticed I had frame buffer effects off and turned it back on. Well, fuk! Now I'm tryin to decide to redo it...

TIP: Don't turn off the Frame Buffer Effects!

Heh, I think the bottom one looks better for the Fade part of the game.

Ok ordered this on Steam and should be able to play sometime this year (2mb broadband ftl). Deciding factor was BGII style view and longevity from user mods etc.

I really should stop reading these threads. I can't afford the money for this game until the beginning of December, and won't have the time to play it until after the 11th anyway. :shakefist:

TIP: You don't have to lvl up right away and you can just do partials. I couldn't decide on a talent so I just held off.

Arf! I love the subtle humour in this game, it's what was missing from Fallout 3 so much. Best line ever:
Spoiler:
"And the Maker shall strike down those who dare to tread in her holy path"

"Traps then?"

"Yes, but it beats 'Willy worked for many years on these complex machanisms to send spikes up the arse of the unwary' "
(Not that spoilery really, but just in case)

Steam says 86.2. Being laid off has it's advantages I guess.

Finally got through the seemingly endless waffle and subterfuge of dwarven politics and back to proper adventuring last night, so have a full house of characters now (apart from the dog, which I forgot to hand in) and all specialisations apart from Ravager. Still surprisingly, but pleasingly under 50% on completion and discovery, though.
