Hopefully we'll work out soon so you don't have to bother with that bit.
My enjoyment of the game is still increasing as I play more. And like FJ says, having other 5punkers around makes all the difference. Even if you're not partying. And if you do the social aspects of the game are nice and simple, open parties, public quests, joining RvR from anywhere and so on.
I may have to drop wow. At least until Lick Ring comes out and I'm almost ready for that anyway.
Still quite enjoying this, but I still have a small list of things that suck:
Having to accept the license agreement thing every time you start the game
The shit chat box
Lag
Limited skill slots (unless I'm being dense and you can expand it)
Broken pubic quests
With any luck they should be able to fix most of those things - though I am concerned by the "technical support" as they still haven't responded to any of the emails/help forms I've sent. That said, AoC had already had 5 million patches by this stage, so it's not as broken as that.
I'd be interested to see what the later levels are like, as to be honest I'm not seeing massive differences between this and Fairyland.
I can live with the license thing, and the quest breakage is to be expected at this point. The chat will hopefully be better once we get a guild together, and is no worse than Warcraft. I'm a bit disappointed by the crafting though - four gathering skills and two crafting seems a bit stingy.
However, it feels nice. It's different enough from Warcraft to not just feel like a clone, and the public quests and RvR work really well. I actually look forward to PvP encounters, and enjoy teaming with randoms because it's so intuitive.
Also if you use window mode you could logout and then minimise it.
I like to be able to stop playing games when I want to, not 20 seconds later.
It's not the amount of time, it's that if I want a game to go away, I want it to go away now, not in 20 seconds, not in a while. not next Tuesday at half past 3.
