It all depends on how you played the first four stages. For my second bunch (inawn), I was in green all the way and everyone I meet ('cept the grox) wants to be my friend and suck on my cock immediately.

Not that I've seen, but I have wiped out a whole planet of cock-monsters (Magentas by Lat I think) so I could colonise it. Quite disturbing, that.
Yay, first sighting of any of my creations! I keep meaning to get screenshots of my animals. I made the cock-monster (called The Inevitable I think) and a big sandworm just in the creature creator rather than properly in-game, but my most recent game is with a creature called the Horned Bean which I'm quite pleased with.
I must confess that I've barely played the space stage yet, but I'm going to carry on the latest game the whole way.
Is there a way to reduce the number of Maxis creations around? I'd far rather see more 5punker's animals populating the planets, and as much as I love Grimmie's stuff, variety FTW!

Hmmm, that would make sense in theory. Chances are the reviewers just hacked their way through the game because it's the way most people will find most comfortable for the first few plays, hence the reviews saying space was very hostile. However, my happy clappy religous race got jumped on by nasties, whereas my brutal Deep Ones seem to be quite friendly with their neighbours. I have noticed that your own creatures in the Sporepedia have a thing at the bottom tracking which type of race they were at each stage though, so it does know whether it uses it or not.

Almost everything in my game is off the buddy list - there's very few Maxis creations around although I've only really started to notice this more in the late stages of the space game.
FJ's lemon headed Awesome empire got wiped out by Anham's 5punkalopods who in turn got sat on by Nickface's Flexisharks. Grimbolas and Bohlareon (Nickface again) are being nice and making me rich, and I've just bumped into FJ's Snaaaaeeeek. I brought 5hada's Microbandits kicking and screaming into 2001 AD but Killa and Baliame - sorry, you didn't survive my aggressive expansion efforts.

In return, I wiped out a piece of you as well.

Today I flew to the centre of the universe. Then I found earth and blew it up. I'd post some screenshots if I knew how to take them. The usual button doesn't seem to do anything.

Huh. Thanks for spoiling that.

Spoiling what?

That Earths in it I guess

I think Grimmie interpreted that as Earth being in the middle. I did too, but I suspect you meant you went and found Earth after you'd got to the centre.

Er yeah, Earth is where Earth is normally in the Milky Way, which is what the galaxy is if you zoom out and look at it. Takes some finding though.
Edit: perhaps for clarity that should be "I traveled to the centre of the universe, after which I then went to look for earth"

Phew. Sorry, had a minor heart attack that you'd spoiled the end game!

Perhaps for clarity you should have thought about people who hadn't finished it and felt that you had spoiled it without warning, and head back

and make it invisibibble.

Is anybody else really suffering in space? I'm really struggling to get a foothold anywhere, I keep getting torn to shreds when aiding my colony. Is there something I'm missing? Can I afford to leave my Homeland alone when it's getting attacked. Seems like I'm spending my pittance on repairing my towns.
I played through as a military nation, but whenever I try to build bridges I get attacked or blackmailed "give us all your money or we'll fuck you RIGHT up..."

I found it rather difficult to get started well in a military setup. I ended up ignoring calls from the homeworld once I'd settled other planets, the pirates just attacked my settlements instead. I ran a lot of missions and killed a lot of stuff for other empires until my badgers made me stronger (explorer/sightseer/missionista etc), then I started to grind down one empire at a time until they paid me to stop.
It took a very long time to start making money, missions to set up alliances and trade routes are rather important imo, they allow the monies to flow in, and give you somewhere to buy far cheaper bits for your ufo.
I tipped toward too much monies later on and struggled to buy systems fast enough. I stopped this by planet busting an entire empire into extinction, the other groups then all attacked me. I paid a shit ton for for peace, resetting their like/dislike smiley face thing in the process then happy rayed them until they begged to join me, then they gave me my money back because they liked me so much! HA!

Pirates and eco-disasters are a fucking pitfall for the game.

how come the colonies you make all have uber guns, but your homeworld still has the shit ones that can't defend itself :/

How come you can launch uber turrets on planets but they only work when you're present? That kinda kills the point.
I didn't really bother with my homeworld, each city got me 3.6 red spice an hour which is a bit shitty since my other T3 planets get 120.

Can't all you lot become one big fuck off alliance and go destroy people? Or doesn't it work like that?
