I canceled my subscription right away. If I'm still playing in a month I'll manually buy more times.

Yes, I paid $29.99 for the game, and then had to select from (I think) 1, 3, or 9 months and chose 1 month for $14.99. I thought that the game comes with a month's subscription, so I'm assuming that I'll then get billed monthly thereafter.

Also, I can't type for shit today.

I don't think you'll have been charged that $14.99 yet then, that'll happen on your payment date.

Tomfoolery is scheduled between the hours of 20:00h and 00:00h precisely. Deviation from the schedule is punishable by expulsion and vivisection.

I'll send you one, but you appear to have cunningly hidden your email address from everyone, insofar as it isn't there. PM it to me and I'll send the trial.

I have no idea if I'll be playing anytime soon. I can get to the costume creation screen and when I hit next it locks up and I get a screen telling me my error is with some ati driver and that i should update them. Sooos I go and download the newest drivers (again) for my card (ati firegl x-2) and uninstall teh old ones, restart, install new drivers and try CoH again. This time it yells at me when I pass the EULA saying my card does not support what appears to me to be everything under the sun. So unless the pc gods look kindly upon me I doubt I'll be playing CoH anytime soon.

Wish I would have known this before I used the 10day trail Lat was nice enough to send me. :x

Noooo! Have you tried the NCSoft tech support articles? They're not bad.

Pity about that, you have a splendid accent.

Yeah, especially Chicken. Even so, Aik's is one I've not heard before. It's nice to have that twang on TS.

I have a twang? o.O

I kinda got it working by loading some drivers I found that I'm guessing are are about 3 generations old.

So I can finally log in and get past the costume creation and get into the game. 1st thing I get the bottom 1/3 of my screen is froze. Just the background, not the chat overlays or anything. I change the resolution to my normal 1600x1200 and now 2/3 of my screen is froze. :x So I back it off to 12whatever and the whole screen moves. Till!..... the screen explodes for lack of a better term and I have just big blocks of color, again only the background is messed up, all the overlays are fine. I'm gonna muck around a bit and see if I can get past this hurdle.

So as you can see I have a Hero now on the server named, um, Jack 5plat. I kinda lost all imagination when I got to the name screen. He's a tech scrapper that uses these 2 cool black bladed swords, I could play around in the costume creation all night.

So, off to look around and I'll try to hop on with someone tomorrow.

Haha, it's great isn't it. Never heard of anyone having so many problems with it, but I hope you manage to sort them.

I used to have the screen freezing problem on my old computer, seem to remember it was fixed by changing some setting like turning shadows off or something. Hope that helps!

I'm not sure what I did, but somehow it now plays and I got my scrapper to level 10. So far it's been mildly addictive, as in I've yet to get to sleep before 5am. Now I just have the problem that CoH will not load in full screen with xfire on and if I try to load xfire after CoH is up Xfire crashes. Maybe windowblinds was the problem, who knows, at least I can play.

Try setting Xfire to never detect CoH. It will be mindly annoying to tab out to use xfire all the time, but better than nothing.

Set it to not detect then play in windows mode with a maximized window, it wont be a problem using xfire and it might fix coh.
