Yeah, I'm on 7 in the torso. Phoebe is far more fucked up health-wise than me though.
Providing we don't get into another bloodbath I should be okay until the debrief.

She's being tended to by our resident ladies' man, so while he's doing that I figured I'll put my medkit to use.
Oh don't worry Eraser, we'll get quite enough compensation to fix your armor up I think. With the action footage from my helmet and the BPN fee you'll have plenty. I on the other hand will need a big loan so I can retire these wet rags they call armor. Besides, you're not dead, that's the important bit. Hey Spindle, Grimmie, round up those shady looking fellows (no not Dirk) and ask them some questions or something.

Detect
9,7 +3 = 19
There look to have been half a dozen of them, and three have been killed in the crossfire. The remainder are crowded round a small metal grate in the wall, desperately trying to pull it open.

While you're looking about, behind the machinery that was acting as cover are some semitransparent sheets of plastic hanging from the ceiling to form cubicles.

Paramedic: 4, 8 + 3 = 15
Phoebe has a broken collarbone, which unless Dirk has paramedic, or you set the bone, he can't fix. If you get in to have a look, which you'll need to, you can see that the sharp bone has caused some nasty bleeding. Everyone else has mostly bruising and impact injuries, which don't need anything in the way of special treatment.

The vets don't have much on them, just ammo and a few personal effects.

Panicking, they try to scatter as you approach.

Phoebe, I do think you took the worst of it. I think I have stopped the bleeding for the most part. You took quite a few nasty blows, charging in like a Stormer. I think you'll be fine though.
After patching Phoebe up I'll replenish my ammo, taking HEAP if possible.

I'll try and grab or trip some of them.

Strength
5,8 +10 = 23

Unarmed combat
4,1 +4 = 9

Bums. Let's hope the STR will be enough.

Meh, you'll grab one eventually. They've not really got anywhere to go. Eventually they calm down enough to capitulate.

I'll bitch slap one of them, and then turn around to search through the plastic cubicles.. Carefully.

Bugger, don't have Paramedic. I keep meaning to get it but something else always takes priority.

I will use 6 Flux to recover 12 of Phoebe's hit points, and 1 further Flux to heal the two wounds. The bleeding should also stop, but if the bone hasn't been sorted I don't know how that will work.
Dirk wrote:You should be feeling a lot better now, Phoebe. That collar bone of yours is a bit of a mess though. I can't do anything about it now so I think it's best if you prop yourself in a corner whilst we secure the area.

I'll have a look round and see what's here...
I've got a surprising amount of Flux left (probably because I was afk for most of the gun fight), but I'd rather avoid another confrontation like that. I'll do a Detect roll now then see what info I can get from the scientists.

Deject can set the bone, then Dirk can heal it. If it's not set the last two hit points can't be healed.

In the plastic cubicles are some rather sophisticated looking surgical tables, with diagnostics and other technical gubbins built in. There's also a couple of large (compared to Oysters) computers with weird attachments, and some powered surgical instruments.

Dirk wrote:Is it me, or does this look like some sort of DIY manchine lab? Judging by the guys we've just taken at the very least they're souped up Chrome Warriors.

You there, science chap. Would you mind if we have a few words with you? Haha, of course you don't! So tell me, what exactly has been going on here? Also, just for clarity, whilst I may be a patient man my colleagues here *gestures to Kt'tarr and Eraser* tend to become a mite fractious after a close won fight to the death with what look like a couple of manchines. So, ready when you are...

Whilst they chat, is there anything down here that looks like it might have at one point been our missing Ops?

Deliberate Gremlins 2 quote?

The techs are in no mood to upset anyone. They're a mixture of surgical, electronic and robotics technicians who've been working on restoring the Rust Alley vets using Tek Trex manufactured cybernetics. They've been working under the direction of a Tek Trex executive and a senior engineer, but they've not been around tonight. Those guys turn up with more vets and fresh parts in a van and oversee the surgery. The techs all claim to have been recruited within the last month or two, either from talented amateurs or soft companies.

Dirk to scientist wrote:Say, how's about you make a call to this executive and the senior engineer and tell them there's been an interesting development they should come and see.
Dirk to rest of squad wrote:Right, I reckon we need to call this in pronto. If we bag a Tex Trek exc and who knows what else this could be excellent news for our career progression.
Dirk to the contact whose name I keep forgetting and can't be bothered to spazz back wrote:Hello, Dirk Gently here from Five Punk. We have an update of extreme importance. We've discovered a Tex Trek factory churning out souped up Chrome Warriors - they're a bit like pseudo manchines. We've managed to neutralise one of the factories and we think we might have a TT exec and senior engineer inbound. Please advise on our next course of action.

I'll go set up a perimieter. K'trr, help me scout out all the possible entries and set up my cameras. We also should clean up the bodies from the top level at least so they're not obvious and spook the TT guys.
I'll do a detect and streetwise rolls to look for access points.

Detect: 1, 1 + 3 = 5 ERRORZ! haha oops (I coded in the ERRORZ! into beardyroller btw)
Streetwise: 1, 8 + 3 = 12

So, what does the big guy have in his pockets then?

I'll actually be systematic and search all of the dead warriors, along with stripping the ammo out of thier guns for Grim, Deej and Kutter.

do I need to make a roll as I'm probably going to strip then to thier shorts as it is?
