Its the only bloody p2p program I've found thats decent, all the others have spyware/adware, this is bearshare lite btw, minus the adware. Limewire was good but java messes up my pc, i've tried reinstalling and all sorts but nothing fixes it. Can you reccomend me anything good thats free, isnt java and isnt packed with adware/spyware?

sadly now, I only use Bittorrent for my downloading enjoyment. I am a freak that MUST have the entire album, and p2p clients make it too hard.

well, I do not share this "speed" that you get from bittorrent. I think it's just the stuff I download, but the last CD I snagged took well over a day, for about 150MB. I can download from fileplanet faster...

if you set up bittorrent properly, it is by far the fastest p2p.
u sure you have your ports and stuff set up correctly? make sure you are using the latest client and any required extras.
I reguarly max out my connection using bittorrent. a popular torrent should be faster than most websites

I have gone through the configuration stuff. I'm pretty sure it's just that I like to download really obscure shit. I downloaded NFS Underground 2 in a few hours; I averaged about 60KB/s.

I admit, downloading whole albums can be a pain in the arse.

when i'm not using anything else that uses bandwidth i max it out, but again it depends how much peers you have and what they've limited there upload rate at.
right now i'm torrenting the whole if dilbert series one at 52kb/s and 40 when i'm loading pages
