It takes a few clanging swipes, but you cleave a section of yellow and black striped railing in half and slide a piece out of its mounting.

I'll head back up and try ratcheting the door then.

It's not easy. The door isn't in great condition and it takes both you and Dirk hanging off it to get it moving, but Eraser's kicks seem to have loosened off some of the rust and with a loud creak and a bang it eventually cranks up a notch. After that it isn't too difficult to raise it, although it only goes up an inch or so at a time so the going is slow.

As soon as there is a big enough gap to get a grip, Eraser can try to horse the door.

Bloody Stormers and their Hulk strength. A mighty heave causes a loud metallic plinking noise and a bit of a sproing, and the door slides raggedly upwards. It's far quicker, but now if you let go it will drop back down again.

Just wait until I have some more cash to drop at Stormer Config...
Eraser will take the railing from Deej, prop it in the door frame and lower the door onto it, leaving a gap at the bottom to be able to lift it gain later.

WOO PROBLEM SOLVING!
OK guys, when we go down there, we're going to be on visual spectrum only, and our comms will be pretty useless so try not to get separated. I didn't really see much down there but I didn't look too closely. Ready?
Without really waiting for a response Deej will start to the ladder and heading back down.

Nope, Dirk has always been indigo (though to be fair since the new range of font colours I probably don't hit the same one each time). Never pink though.

Back down the ladder and pressing on, then. Your lamps reflect off the newly disturbed dust motes, shining into the murk between the maze-like ranks of machinery. A little further into the room, crumpled amongst the machinery, lies some skeletal remains. They look human, dressed in rotting clothing, and their place of death is marked by splatters of ancient dried blood.

Well this doesn't look good.
I'll check them for some ID or keys, stuff like that.

Are there any blood splatters leading off any way?

Yep, he has all of the above. He's carrying all the effects you'd expect a downtowner to carry - wallet, keys, a few Uni. In his wallet he has an ID, which states his name as Jamie Gregorio Camacho. According to the ID he was born in 720SD, which would make him 182 years old.
Blood splatters as in trails of injured person or as in to tell which direction he was shot from? The blood is spattered over the machinery above his crumpled corpse, but there doesn't appear to be and trails. If you're poking about though you find another, similar corpse nearby.

Anything from dead person dragging bleeding corpse from place a to place dead, or a dripping weapon as killer wandered away.
Same for dead body 2.

Nope, they look like they died where they lie. During your investigations you find another three corpses, all pretty much the same. You also find another one of those doors, this one in much better condition (but still without power).

I don't suppose the door is unlocked is it? Or has a lock that is fit by one of the keys I've found?
