So far I'm really liking it, but it'll take me some time to figure out how exactly the tactics work.
I also noticed just how bloody this game is, something as mundane as killing a rat covers you in blood entirely. their bukkake sessions must something else.
I'm fighting as a female human noble, and I started off making her the ugliest thing I possibly could, but realized I had to watch my own ghoulish creation for the rest of the game so I made her pretty instead.
I called her Gwyneth because she looks sad ALL THE TIME, just like Gwyneth paltrow

I also found a flying sword.

I've started another character for that very reason, my dwarf warrior looks like Hoggle. Also it bothered me that he had two skills which were better for rogues, from the commoner background I assume. Plus the tab key turns on secret-goodies-vision. I hate missing goodies. So I've gone with my original plan went mage, an attractive female mage.Mr. Johnson wrote:I'm fighting as a female human noble, and I started off making her the ugliest thing I possibly could, but realized I had to watch my own ghoulish creation for the rest of the game so I made her pretty instead.
I found the mage starting story a bit disappointing after the dwarf commoner. Maybe a little too much of a librarian feel about it.

That's what I usually do, original as I am. Basically I give him a big nose and add a beard. I think I'm going to play as a dwarf next time.Dog Pants wrote:I tried to make mine look like me, since the first run through of a game I try to act like me. Mine looks perpetually apologetic.
Next up I'm going to make a max face Dwarf and do my very best to piss off every single person I meet, including my party members.
Also, how did you post that picture? I can't see anything like it on my player profile.
can also be found in Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Characters in the characters folder, but you obviously have to upload it yourself then
if anyone had been wondering the screenshots the game takes when you do achievements or finish bits of story quests are located in Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\screenshots

is there some way to disable my own character's voice that I've missed? I'm starting to get tired of
CAN I GET YOU A LADDER SO YOU CAN GET OFF MY BACK?

I have to admit, I do like some of the semi-scripted banter between party NPC's.
I think that's a very nice touch and aids with building them up as characters brilliantly. Morrigan laying into Alistair at quiet moments with sarcastic and cutting comments always makes me stop and listen.
And aside from NPC to NPC conversations, some of the ones you can have with the NPC's as the character are brilliant. Notable ones being the euphemisms that Alistair uses when you ask him if he's a virgin due to his chantry upbringing and also the unexpected and amusing coversation about shoes that Leliaaaaaania goes into.
I think judging by what I've played so far, this is probably the best RPG of the last 5 years by a country mile, not in the last 10 because KOTOR came out in Nov '03 (6 years ago, k'hell :S).
