Wii Zapper

What do you guys think? It comes bundled with the new Resident Evil : Umbrella Chronicles game, and a lot of people say it looks like shit.

I'm not too sure to be honest, as I think it must be far more enjoyable than just using the controllers normally in a shooter. You tilt the gun upwards to reload etc... like many of the arcade shooters out there.

Either way, I like the idea of new peripherals with games, allthough it migth become a pain in the ass working out where to store them all. (Seeing as Mario Kart is coming with a steering wheel as well)

The more I see the way in which the Wii uses controllers and accessories, the more I think it's ace. I now want one. Mr Pants, care for your money back?

It's a bit big, if there was a one handed gun bit for the wii-mote it would be easier to use

Hmmm... so PS3 prices aren't going to drop and funky things like that are going to be around for the Wii.... tempted now.

it's a cool idea, but that design is a bit crap. I saw a similar thing in gamestation today that lookeda lot neater. Only thing is it has the Z button on the nunchuk as the 'trigger' of the gun, which obviously won't be that helpful if umbrella chronicles can only be set up to use B as fire

I imagine you can swap between wii zapper mode, and the wiimote/nunchuck mode in the settings, as you can play co-op, so one of you won't be using the zapper unless you buy an extra one.

Each mode will probably have a different button layout for firing or reloading etc...
