My Uni Course used to teach PS2 code as the back bone of the console programming, now they are not sure if they should go with Xbox 360 (seeing as its practically the same as windows, i.e. mostly c++) or PS3 as wii doesn't give out free dev packages to uni's yet. So I may go begging them for a job down the line.

... merit of its hardware.... They need to sell some of the fucking things first, and stop charging a fucking wallet burning amount. Also like FJ said, which studio would harm its profit margin on purpose? Who would spent time and effort on a game just to watch it curtailed to one platform, thus losing significant numbers of players and revenue. The only games that get away with this are already so big, that they transcend the platform, resident evil, halo, quake, doom etc, but the studios that make these are in the position to dictate terms, so sony fucks up there are as well!
