New player quickstart guide

Post by Grimmie »

I'm going to make a quickstart guide, for players who want to know what they're meant to be doing in eve to start off with. It should cover the first week or two. Unlike Joose's fabulous <a href="http://www.5punk.co.uk/phpbb/viewtopic. ... EVE-FAQ, it'll concentrate on the idiots instructions on what the sort of basic skills you'll need, and how to train them up. What I'd really like, is a few little snippets to be sent to my Email address on the really obvious things, and not so obvious things that helped you out in the first week or so in eve. Like where and what to mine, what the ideal "first ship" for mining, and fighting was. And the little tips such as sorting the market results by number of jumps away.

Thanks in advance for all of your tips!

Top stuff.

I'm more than willing to help to donate to new Eve-ers also - in return for sexual favours, naturally.

Lmfao!
That's a sorry-sorry site Mr. Amblin.
References it is then. It's a lot easier for me to assemble the page like that, anyway.

When you should bottle and run away from the rats. I keep not learning that lesson, to my cost. 3 ships down the drain in as many days....

Yes, this is a very good idea. I want to get into EVE, but im so stupidly busy that I cant be arsed to spend ages on a steep learning curve. A good introduction of what to do first would be very handy.

Ace start grimmie. It would most likely have to be a group effort, but can you put in a list of what ammo does better under which circumstances? That would really help to reduce money spend in the begining if you knew that X ammo was better than Y ammmo at doing Z, thereby allowing you to buy the right type of ammo for you. I wasted more money that I'd like to count trying out different ones before I settled on my standard types (can't remeber off the top of my head)

Bloody fantastic, Hehulk.
I'd have never thought of that.

NB: I've added insurance and cloning to the list, too.

I'll just point out it's best to read it through though.
