STALKER bugs

Post by spoodie »

After installing my legit version of STALKER last night it wouldn't start *sigh*
After much rebooting and msconfig tweaking I discovered Process Explorer was the cause. Which is annoying because I use it a lot. Even if I quit ProExp before trying to start the game it wont work, the application must not run at all.

Anyone else experienced this?

The only problem I've had is after I first installed it and started the game. I got a lovely burst of noise, a brief memory dump, then a reset. Been fine ever since though.

Initially I thought my problem was caused by Daemon Tools, it's a safe bet with some games, but it works fine with DT running.

Might depend if it's DT3 or DT4, as 4 is invisible to securom atm
