I want one with ratios detailing average card sizes a year ago with trend lines on case sizes versus how many times chicken mentions that he has an 8800

I've got a good few inches of space left on the end of the current card before I hit the HDD mounting bays, should be ok.

Btw, current card is a GeForce 6800 GT 256Mb

8800 is in and .... everything looks the same so I assume it's working. Maybe got better framerates but I never really pay much attention to that kinda thing. Going to throw STALKER at it tomorrow and see what happens.

i'd suggest updating drivers if you've not.

the Forceware 97.28s seem pretty good so far, YMMV etc. etc.

Damn, you're making me want one of those now. I may have a PCI-E X1800GTO going spare in a coupe of weeks if anyone wants it off me

I installed the ones straight off the nVidia site (yeah, 97.28 as you say). Uninstalled the existing ones first, rebooted, removed card, stuck new one in, installed new drivers, R-Click/Settings/ Properties/Advanced/Adapter/Properties/Driver says 21/122006 Version 6.14.10.9792

I can never tell whether the fucking things are installed and working as they should be.
