Woah, I found a pic of my old Win98 desktop:

It's actually a simplified version of an "active desktop" I had from when IE4 was all new and clever, I'll see if I can dig it out.

And here's mine, from my work computer. The computer I use to do work on rather than play games and watch movies, that is. I like things uncluttered (and yes, Start Menu contents are nice and tidy too).
