But .. but ... but ...
I've never really watched Smallville. I can't watch that teen based stuff, I was too old when it started probably. It reminds me of Dawson's Greek, The OC, etc. I watched some Lois and Clark in the 90s, I think that's what it's called, with Terri Hatchet. I'm not a huge Superman fan, just enjoyed this version of the film.

I enjoyed the Superman films as a kid, but still recall them as rather cheesy. I've never been into comics, but have seen the Justice League cartoons - they have to leave him out of a number of the episodes, because he's just too powerful. Spidey was always my favourite, but I might check out this version as it sounds like it has a bit more depth to it.
Hell, I've watched some X-men cartoons where Captain America makes a reappearance and actually comes off as having a personality, so maybe hope isn't lost for the 'man.

Captain America is a much more rounded character. With him, its more a case of people thinking of him as uber-moral, like Superman, but he's actually just a nice guy. Admittedly, he's a nice guy from the 40's, so to us modern people he appears to be remarkably "proper".FatherJack wrote:Hell, I've watched some X-men cartoons where Captain America makes a reappearance and actually comes off as having a personality, so maybe hope isn't lost for the 'man.
Its kind of like this: Superman always does the right thing, CA always wants to do the right thing. Its a small but significant difference, but its these kind of differences that makes CA more human and Superman, like Roman says, a smug git.
