Perhaps try advertising it within 5punkcorp first, and getting some of the people who don't post here much to listen and comment. Eve is a prime example of a game where a bit of background music is a very good thing.Peter Armstrong wrote:thing is tho would it be ok to post on ISS fourms ? 5punkorp in eve part of this alliance know as ISS! so would it be ok to spread the word?
When broadcasting, it's always nice to actually have listeners, but even better when they are forum members who can post comments about the show - opening it up to other forums is a good way of getting listeners, but it would more appealing if they were encouraged to join us - you don't have to be in 5punkcorp to sign up, just have an interest in games, and who knows - maybe some of those ISS-ers are secret BeeF-ers or Beardies.

I'd quite like to do that, won't be able to do anything untill Jan though (when I go back to my PC, spending Xmas with parents) and I'm into like music that I'm not sure others like (death metal, hardcore, metalcore etc.) but if there are some people that like that stuff then I could do like one show every now and then (bi-weekly, weekly?) and would start looking for new music to put on.

Pete, can you please remove the 5punk radio thing off of MySpace please, as Berk already explained, it may gain unnecessary attention, and the whole reason for having Shoutcast setup, was that Berk wanted 5punkers to have the ability to play small shows for other members.
It's okay if you are playing online in Eve for example, and you can then invite someone you are chatting to in-game, but for now, I think advertising 5punk Radio on MySpace or on other forums is a bad idea.
Could you please remove the MySpace group, and just keep it within the 5punk and friends boundary, and that way everyone will be happy, and Berk might not end up with some federal agents knocking on his door

Basically, the Teamspeak and game hosting is what bukkake is for, everything else is extra and only done providing it's not gonna hurt performance of games or risk me getting in any shit legally.
We can only do a lot of the stuff we do because 5punk is a small community, most other gaming sites won't run stuff like radios (let alone a fully public one) and will often warn or ban even for mentions of sweeping.
Really, if you want to help promote 5punk, promote 5punk as a friendly gaming site. *Not* as shitty amateur radio.

Alright folks, hope all had a lovely Christmas. I fully intended to do my radio show yesterday but my Internet was borked by the old man and I've only just fixed it about half an hour ago.
That and I've come down with some kind of ChristmAIDS that has mostly left me asleep and booze free, mostly. No good at all. Anyway, I'll reschedule for some time soon, maybe New Year's day or something, depending on work.
That is all.

Get well soon, dude. Christmas illnesses are the worst. I think about 50% of my christmas's have been ruined by a terrible hangover or from a cold/flu.tandino wrote:That and I've come down with some kind of ChristmAIDS that has mostly left me asleep and booze free, mostly.
