There are only three forums that go to GT Lans....
Gametribe
HLCCL
and now
5punk
Bring enough 5punk-ers and you will pretty much have a Lan of your own!!
Also, we hada 5punk'ers own lan, we didn't get a turn out like expected. Organising one will be very hard, we have alot more espenses to cover, look at this one, we have 6 confirmed, not enough to be able to afford our own lan unless we do it ourselves, I would like a 5punk'ers lanm but untill we can get the numbers up, I don't think it will work.
But attending another lan, we still get to hang out, get pisssed, trade pr0n, plus we have extra people to shoot/blow-up/poke with sticks. And recruiting oportunitys.
I think when we get 15-20+ 5punk'ers attending lans, our own will be a more viable option. We had Proflan, was a great weekend, but in all honesty, how much gaming did we get done???
But yes, our own lan is deffinately required, but unless we have someone willing to cover the costs, I can't see it working.
Thats my opinion. Also we havn't a venue.....

You are quite right with all the above. I've never run a Lan at a loss - but they have never made a profit either. If there aren't enough people to cover costs, then they get cancelled and date changed usually.Ty aka Sir Die Aloty wrote:

I will run a Lan for you - location can be found (Scout huts are good), if you can:
A. go and check out a GT Lan first and come and see what we do
B. Help find a location where you'd want this held, but try and keep it centralised
C. Fill it with the people without any help from me...
