Dear Jinxx
I feel we got off to the wrong start yesterday.
Maybe I took Schedulers note of "a mess around" to litteraly.
I hadn't been on a computer for at least three months, and thats the reason I was probley a little trigger happy. (Heck its good target practice), and I mearly stated I do not like the game as a serious game its way to random but its fun to play for a mess around (Mr Stabby *cough*) but yea, sorry if I pissed you off some how :S??

Yeah, we did rather get off on a bad note and I think there were a few misunderstandings there:
While last night was still a bit of a mess-around it quickly became a bit more like a proper match as we'd got the use of features of mani-mod ironed out some.
Also, it's much easier to know how someone's reacting and playing the game if you can communicate two-way in voice with them - and I know that you have the capability to use teamspeak fully and chose not to.
And it really pisses me off when people shoot the furniture when you're twitchy and trying to be stealthy. You hear gunfire and assume there's contact - but it's not that, just someone on your team taking an instant dislike to an ocassional table.
It's fair to point out that we don't really take the game seriously - if we did, we'd be a proper clan with nice little clanhats - we are there for a laugh, but that fun can easily be shattered by the simplest of things.
Please do keep playing - don't let my agitation put you off; and do try to talk and join in with all the bitching at Sledra.

I DO have to take my agression out on that fucking bike at the begining of Italy on CT though. It keeps looking at me funny!
Amen.Jinxx wrote:And do try to talk and join in with all the bitching at Sledra.
Thats fine its just when Iam running around and run into a table and it has that "push" effect its stupid so I shoot the thing.
Also if the admin of the server could find a mod that allows sv_cheats to be 1 and only allow the command cl_pushscale to be modded which cancles the push effect???
I must say last night was a great laugh as CSS has great ways of hummoring the game.Ragdolls, physics and other stuff
I look forward to playing with you alot again and the reason I wasnt talking much on teamspeak is that I really dont know any of you that good and dont wanna say something stupid.

Being able to get a physics reaction out of the engine is important in the game. And having sv_cheats active at all is not a route Berk or I want to go down.Vowles wrote:Also if the admin of the server could find a mod that allows sv_cheats to be 1 and only allow the command cl_pushscale to be modded which cancles the push effect???
We've pretty much all been playing together for a few weeks now and we've begun to get to know each other, so I can understand why you might feel intimidated by it... As long as you're not a total twat (and judging by the efforts you went to to make amends, you're probably not one), then there shouldn't be a problem - but at least give Sledra a little grief or it's just not rightVowles wrote:I look forward to playing with you alot again and the reason I wasnt talking much on teamspeak is that I really dont know any of you that good and dont wanna say something stupid.
Well I see that would cause problems but I do remember a group of HL modders stated they would make a CSS: Elite Edition with thing like the push effects gone but I can hardly see this happing because I doubt vavle would release the source code to CSS and to write it from stratch would be a bugger.Jinxx wrote: Being able to get a physics reaction out of the engine is important in the game. Maybe we should attack vavle to demmand put a sv var for pushscale???
Anyways glad to see this is sorted :D
