Yeah, Industrial 5 for 21 days was tough, but flying that Iteron V is reward enough for it!

But then again, getting Cruiser V so you're in line for a HAC would be a nice next ship purchase too....

Eve is (apparently) quite playable on dial-up.

You can. Loading times are slow and therefore jumping through gates can take a while, but it's just about playable. Or get yourself a GPRS or 3G mobile (er, cellphone 8) ). I've played often with one of these hooked up. ALternatively go wireless and rob your neighbours t'internet.

At the risk of showing my age (EVE wise) when I first started playing we didnt have broadband, and its perfectly playable. The only bits you have any real problems with is loading after a jump, so long haul journeys take a loooong time. Doing stuff in system is fine.

And patches. Patches with dialup is baaaad.

The biggest problem I had with dialup was someone picking up another phone in the house.

Don't worry M, if you go to dialup, and still want to play, I'll mail you the client on CD. No big deal at all, as I save it to CD for friends I'm trying to get into it anyway. May even do it on RW, so you can send it back and I can send you patches as needed.

If you want to keep playing that is, no pressure, just support. The 5punky way!
