CoV free 17day trial!

Post by Joose »

If any of you have been wondering about our costumed capers, wanted to join in but didnt want to fork out for the game till you were sure, Fileplanet are doing a 17day free trial of the game at the moment, here:

http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/ci ... 14day.aspx

I know, I know "Fileplanet! Argh!" but you only have to sign up with them for the free service, and you can download the client from a bunch of alternative places. Not sure yet whether this will put you on US or EU servers. If you have the option, go for US, cos that is where the rest of us are.

See you in the 5pandex!

http://www.cityofvillains.com/promos/feb06b.html *seems* to work for the download.

but you're likely to get faster-ish rates from Fileplanet.

or:

ftp://ftp.cityofvillains.com/client/US/

but then you have to go through the rigmarole of the updater. Which can take fucking hours.

Is the fileplanet/the above link a full client then? how rare.

For some reason file planet is screwing up for me, so I'm trying it out though the updater, which is taking a spell. :bored:

Indeed. I had to do it through the updater, and ended up leaving it on overnight.
