Pics from Skye

Post by Lateralus »

Here are some snapshots of my trip to skye last week.

This is the sunset from the house we were staying in

This is the view of Skye from the road heading to the Kyle of Lochalsh

And this is a panorama from the Old Man of Storr which I made using autostitch. As usual, I missed a couple of joining sections

Yes and yes.

It was gorgeous there - not a drop of rain in a week and glorious sunshine every day. The locals were all saying how unusually good it was, so our timing couldn't have been better. Spent the week working out the time by how hungry we were and being as lazy or busy as we wanted. Basically, an ace holiday.

Driving back to my parent's now to return the car (begrudgingly) and once I get there I'll have done a shade under 2000 miles in about 10 days.

Hehe - crappyish digital camera FTW! Its only 3MP, but it has a 6x optical zoom which is ace.

My favourite views were the ones like the middle pic, with lots of hills fading into the distance. Unfortunately they don't come out too well on auto-settings, and I've not read the manual properly to know how to adjust the manual ones to a longer apature.

Looks gorgeous mate, glad to hear you had a good time and I'm sure you earned it after all the dissertation action.

Updated the Oblivion mods thing a little while you've been away, not a great deal, just a bit of a ramble on my part.

I find if you turn the view distance down you get a better framerate...oh wait. Real Life? :faint:
