fatherjack - sounds like a complete motherboard wipeout to me. if you have a spare motherboard that matches your components - then try it. seeing as the mose problem, graphics card AND ram are all main parts of the mobo (sounds kinda silly as everything is connected to the motherboard) and i also had the problem of my cursor dissapearing when i had my 865PERL, upgraded and all is fine.
pixie pie - i also have the same problem when windows boots, my mouse doesnt function. its wireless labtec though, and what works for me is that i dont press any of the buttins ormove the mouse when my computer is booting, otherwise it takes me a restart or two to get it working.

You may have a point, as the BIOS battery on this one has gone, I've been meaning to replace it. It's only an inconvenience when there's a power cut, but I had forgotten about it.Icarus wrote:fatherjack - sounds like a complete motherboard wipeout to me. if you have a spare motherboard that matches your components - then try it. seeing as the mose problem, graphics card AND ram are all main parts of the mobo (sounds kinda silly as everything is connected to the motherboard) and i also had the problem of my cursor dissapearing when i had my 865PERL, upgraded and all is fine.
