Some of you may have experienced my TeamSpeak problem. Sometimes, usually when I have stepped away for a moment, my mic emits a piercing shriek and hurts everyone's ears. I don't hear it myself, just see my TS icon lit up solid.
It may coincide with XFire popups, which I've now disabled in-game, or it may be that the mic input doubles (on my Audigy SE) as the digital out.
Patches from Creative claim I haven't actually got an appropriate soundcard installed, so I just have 'drivers only' from the disc that came with it.
I'm rather thinking the SE is basically the Shit Edition as it can't seem to cope with the radio voice in BF2, which my PCI128 and SBlive seemed to manage ok.
Resolution? Buy a decent (ie £50+, not £25) soundcard, I suppose. It's payday on Friday, bit OD this month...
