Yeah, unfortunately stuff that's procedurally generated can end up being ironically generic. Lots of interesting things to look at, not much to actually do. We can hope though.

Yep, still sceptical. If it's as good as it looks I would sure like to claim a planet for 5punk.

Love the concept. It's achieved it's $50k funding. Hope that it's not just expensive concept art that never gets made.

Interesting. I like the concept too, although the execution could end up like a 5v1 Left 4 Dead game.

Mixed feelings, liked the last game but hated the boss battles. Will probably buy it.

Knew it was coming for a while as CA hadn't been shy about saying they were working on a Warhammer game. Could potentially be quite good though, as the core meat of the game isn't too far off what CA normally deal with in Medieval, plus I can't recall a Warhammer game in recent memory that's actually been a grand strategy.

DOW:Dark Crusade had aspects of it with territory capture, but nothing like the empire crafting that the Total War games have.

Having played Allen Isolation to completion I find it hard to believe any other game of this genre will ever scare me again. Still, looks interesting at least.

XCOM 2

Nothing about gameplay yet, though I assume (or rather, I hope) it'll be the same as the first.

Why does the snake alien have boobs though?

Uh. Okay. Having just watched Kung Fury my immediate thought was XCOM soldiers getting sent into an alternative dimension in the future (to fight dinosaur Hitler?). Still, as MJ says, hopefully the gameplay will be good.

That confuses me. In the first game you end up not only tooled out to the max, but with at least one soldier who can fight on a psychic level with the Ethereals, and you end up beating them to a pulp. I'm now interested to know how the human race apparently lost, yet Xcom managed to survive and apparently have a rather large base hidden in the Grand Canyon.

Still, more tactical turn based games! Woo! :excited:
