Planetary Annihilation

Post by Wiggy »

So I just saw this come up on Steam's Early Access program for £39.99 - anyone had any experience with it as yet, know if it's any good?

Certainly looks good - planetary-scale RTS, with the ability to do silly things like throw asteroids at people.

Well, it's mostly the ex-Cave Dog team behind Total Annihilation, which I still think is one of the best RTS games ever made, so I've been keeping an eye on it.

I'll be waiting for it to release properly though, £40 is a bit too rich for beta access for a game that I know I'll enjoy but am not too fussed about getting involved with.

I agree with all of this.

The beta access for kickstarters is available for this, by the way.

I got an email from them via kickstarter telling me that I would be getting in soon, then another email from Uber Entertainment directly saying it was ready and I can log in and get it. If you haven't had the second email they may have not gotten to you yet, they did say they were staggering it to try and manage the server load.

Ah! I was checking the wrong email address. My Kickstarter and Uber Entertainment email addresses are different, for some reason.
