Interesting, will have to give that a read. I would have thought
Spoiler:
the%20zerg
would have come out on top
Spoiler:
due%20to%20sheer%20volume
, but then again the other two races do have control of a lot of planets.

Also, the Spoiler button is rendering Media tags.

I like the "we only dicked around in games all year to raise public awareness of astronomy and statistical processes" line.

I myself have been conducting a very important study on eastern European interior design tastes and trends by slavishly scrutinising webcams of girl's bedrooms.

That must be one hell of a slog, however the work will pay off when we have the best decorative influences from Eastern Europe adorning our walls.

I assume the "soviet grey" period has started to fade out?

in what is surely a publicity stunt, but a cute one, PETA are encouraging StarCraft 2 players to spare a thought for Zerglings.

First impressions from the first couple of levels: Yep, definately SC2. Not sure what else to say about it really. Other than that Blizzard really *really* ought to do some sort of film/animated TV thing.

Finally finished!

Good game, was similar enough to WOL that it felt familiar, but not too much that it just felt re-skinned.

No more branching storylines - a lot of players complained that they felt cheated out of story in WOL, so they took it out.

Ending is
Spoiler:
unfortunately almost scene-for-scene identical to the leaked cinematic. Still good though. Hopefully they won't focus on Kerrigan too much in LOTV, whenever that comes out.
In fact, although I'm super excited to play the single player protoss game, Zeratul leaves me kinda cold. Hopefully they'll put some Khalai templars in there.

I still haven't completed WOL yet. The leaks are annoying but then again I don't really give a shit about storylines, you could just throw a load of randomly generated maps at me and told me to kill stuff and I would have been happy.

Is the army customisation any good? I heard it was much better than WOL

The story's pretty good, I found. The army customisation's nice, yeah. They put a bit more thought in to making it feel like you're evolving zerg and trying out the different options rather than just going "I guess this one might be useful?"

I don't even really enjoy the Starcraft series and I know the rough plot for Kerrigan: Human -> Zerg queen -> Back to sort of Human.

No doubt I will download it at some point this year, probably once I am back from Oz as I have no pennies now :(

Yeah it was pretty obvious, for all Blizzards creativity they employ a bunch of yank scriptwriters and are quite predictable as a result.

Patch 2.1

A load of stuff is free now, like you don't even have to buy the game. This is including the silly little "arcade" maps. (Cat and mouse, tron lightcycles, dota style stuff, tower defence, RPG maps etc).
