Re: Team Fortress 2: Co-op
They added some new maps last week, and they are terrifyingly difficult.
Anyone fancy a 5punky crack at it? Public randoms are useless...

Re: Team Fortress 2: Co-op
Well I don't have any fancy new games like Guido wars or Dishonoured so I'm up for a game this Friday.

Re: Team Fortress 2: Co-op
It looks like you need one of those purchasable tickets for those new maps.

Re: Team Fortress 2: Co-op
I think the whole Free 2 Play push for TF2 has completely ruined the game for me. I just can't enjoy any of it any more. There's too many items that never, ever drop for me, and they can get fucked if they think I'm going to pay real money for that stuff. It makes perfect sense from Valve's perspective, for sure, but honestly I just can't be bothered anymore.
Re: Team Fortress 2: Co-op
I prefer it now it's free. I don't really give a shit about items, and I'm certainly not buying any keys, but for whatever reason I enjoy it a lot more than I did on release. Probably just that there are more maps.

Conversely, I love it.
I'm not that bothered about paying the odd 60p here and there for the mannly servers, item wise, If you want it, most of the time you can get it on tf2outpost.com for basically no effort.

Re: Team Fortress 2: Co-op
The MvM stuff has really got me playing again, I couldn't give a crap about the items (although refusing to humour people who are begging me for my earbuds is entertaining ) and winning on those maps is rather safisfying

Re: Team Fortress 2: Co-op
See people begging for my stuff got really fucking annoying. There was a point where I would get three attempts a day. I just hate it all now. Give me Launch Day TF2 any time instead.fabyak wrote:The MvM stuff has really got me playing again, I couldn't give a crap about the items (although refusing to humour people who are begging me for my earbuds is entertaining ) and winning on those maps is rather safisfying

Re: Team Fortress 2: Co-op
I was quite happy to buy a few keys at launch. It's quite a fun game and it seems fair to compensate Valve for the effort of creating it.
And on balance; if you play with useless randoms, who can't complete, then you don't lose your ticket. I've had reasonable success, I've used up a few tickets and a couple of the extra item thingies.

Re: Team Fortress 2: Co-op
The main route people bizarrely seem to go down is: Offering me a rare (so they say) item for my earbuds, so I can then trade them for another pair of earbuds
