If you touch your software enough does it become hardware?

Click Tappa Clack Click

Post by Legoshoes »

How do fellas.

I'm in need of a new keyboard. My current one isnt feeling as snappy as once it did so I thought I'd shell out for a sexy mechanical keyboard. What would y'all recommend? I've got about £100ish to work with.

I've heard nothing but good about das keyboard in the past, but I'm a fan of scissor switches.

I think Steelseries do mechanical and rubber dome versions, but I dunno how much they cost, or if they come in a UK layout.

I'm on my phone at the moment so can't find the exact model, but PCG rated the Steelseries mechanical kb quite highly, and it's only £60. Personally I like the Corsair Vengeances. The k60 at £100 is basic but quite nice, the k90 is a bit less basic but is £30 more.

Cor the Corsair K90 is £95 and looks sexy as hell. I may need to do some serious budgeting but that's probably the one i'll go with. Cheers!

Wow, they've dropped in price pretty rapidly. Think I might be buying one myself.

EDIT: Think I did buy one. I hope I get home before it arrives.

Oops, they've dispatched it. I don't fancy having it sat on my doorstep until sunday, as the local postie is wont to do. However, it has a tracking number so despite my opting for super-cheapy delivery I think that probably means it'll need a signature.

It's lovely. Solid, feels nice, looks great. The only issue I have with it is that I keep catching extra keys, but when I'm gaming that doesn't matter.

It's definitely a slick keyboard, for sure.
I love my Steelseries 7g but if for whatever reason it should happen to break I'll keep an eye out for a K90.
