2005 5punk Awards
After careful consideration, I've decided to dish out some Awards to those members at 5punk that have really made a difference, and without, 5punk would not be the same.
Stoat - Magical Code Monkey Award 2005
Without Stoat, we wouldn't of been able to move hosting, use the 5cheduler, integrate the Radio with the site, or update the forum to stop evil bastards hacking it and destroying the database.
We are talking a lot of time and effort here, and for that I am really thankful.
HeHulk - Most Involved Forum Moderator Award 2005
HeHulk has pretty much saved the EVE forum/game from extinction, and has even managed to tempt all the guys that started it up back to the game. Through this more members have been introduced to 5punk, and this is what I would love to see happening in the rest of the gaming forums. Well done HeHulk, but you really should think about getting a social life at some point
Ty - Most Effort Made By A Forum Member Award 2005
I have obvioulsy given this out as a result of the hard work and organising that Ty did to make the LAN party happen. I'm sure there will be more parties this year, and once January is out the way, the next one will hopefully be even bigger. So I would just like to say thanks to Ty for making it happen, and I'm sure everyone else involved would share the same thanks.
Dr. Kitteny Berk - Special Mention Award 2005
How can I put this.
*thinks carefully before typing*
I don't think anyone has a smooth ride when dealing with Berk, and we've had our little "conversations" in the past regarding upsetting members and so on...
Not wanting to dwell on that though, what I am trying to get at, is that even though some of you may find Berk somewhat Abrupt, Rude and quite possibly Obnoxious, Berk speaks his mind and what you see is what you get.
You know where you stand with Berk, and he's the first to admit that.
However, without him, 5punk would never have lifted off the ground in the way that it has, and his continous work, help, time & money has got Bukkake up and running, along with the Shoutcast radio shows as well.
He's the unsung hero, but more a hero without the shiney long blonde hair and chiseled jaw, more of a dark shadowy figure lurking in the corner fixing servers and swearing repeatedly at things whilst snarling.
Jinxx also needs to go into the mix when it comes to Bukkake as he had a lot if involvement with it in the early part of 2005, and I'd like to thank him for that too.
So to sum up *thinks about words carefully again*, even though Berk can be a bit of a sarcastic foul mouthed bastard, we love him in our very own special way

Now there's an award I wasn't expecting. And yes, a social life is on my to-do life for this year. If I ever get round to my to-do list....Woo Elephant Yeah wrote:HeHulk - Most Involved Forum Moderator Award 2005
