Tiny charges at the uninjured gribbly who's currently looming over Deject.

Gribbly rolls a 40, so it's a hit. Munchkin just did the damage roll next to me and got 11, which causes a wound too. He rolls a pitiful 94 for his staying stood up roll, and trips backward, snarling, dark blood oozing from a deep gash across his chest. Unlike the other one, he remains awake.

Deject, your go!

Getting up is a quick action, and moving away can be done at the same time as other stuff, so you could stick a complex action or a couple of quicks in there too if you want.

We have finished moving house and being on holiday and stuff now, so GAME UNPAUSED! :boogie:

Quick recap of story so far: You woke up in a wierd virtual world running some sort of horror version of groundhog day. You broke out of it do discover the world seems to be having a little bit of an apocalypse around you, so you grabbed a car and hightailed it to a nearby army weapon/gear dump that has apparently been abandoned. A rather ugly looking fellow chased you, and has caught up just as you finished getting outfitted, at which point him and his buddie tried to give you anger-hugs. So far one of them is on the floor in a bloodied and knocked out (but still alive) and the other has been knocked on his ass in front of deject with a couple of nasty wounds, but still has his fighting face on. The last thing that happened was TSD tearing a good sized chunk out of the remaining guy, who looks deeply upset about it but still isnt out of action.

The combat order is currently:

Tiny
Deject
TSD
Gribbly 1
Pants
Gribbly 2

So it would be Gribbly 1 next but he is spending this turn lying on the floor bleeding a bit, so Pants! You go now!

I'm not sure how firing into melee works in this game, but it doesn't usually end well. So I'll unload a burst into Deject's prone gribbly (using similar modifiers to last time, delete as applicable);

60 (Kinetic Weapons) +10 (Point Blank) +10 (Aim) +30 (Auto) = 110

4, 1: 41 Excellent Success!

Damage

6, 6 + 13 + 5 = 30

Re-reading my last attack I should have probably used the +damage one. Never mind, that still probably made a mess.

Sorry, I probably restarted a bit early. We dont get Proper Internets in the new place till tomorrow, and trying to run this over just an iPhones 3G connection is a pain in the arse. Anyway:
I'm not sure how firing into melee works in this game, but it doesn't usually end well.
Yeah, its basically a negative modifier and a reasonable chance to hit the wrong person. Especially bad idea if you are firing full auto or have something with an AOE.
Damage

6, 6 + 13 + 5 = 30
Yeah, that pretty much takes his head off. Thick, almost black blood sprays backwards as you rip meaty chunks out of his neck and face and he slumps motionless to the floor. As the other guy-monster is passed out on the floor, oozing, you can now come out of bullet time. Combat ends!

As the echoes of the gunfire fade away, you all hear a noise start up from further into the city, in the direction of the White House etc. It sounds like a cross between a howling animal and an air-raid siren. It sounds pretty far away though.

You dont necassarily need medical skills if someone had, for example, a nanobandage.

/looks pointedly at dejects gear listing.

Where there is a white house and an air raid siren, there is an air raid shelter!

I can see the logic. Not sure you're right, but I suppose it's better than our odds of outrunning.

I saw that too, but I didn't know if I could just use it or if it required any specific training. Plus, if someone can patch me up without using the fancy equipment that'd be nice so we can save it for a worse situation. Since it doesn't look like that'll be happening I'll slap that baby on.
