Looks like we're on the move again boys

Post by friznit »

For those of you who have not been up with political event online, here's a synopsis as I understand it.

1. STAIN Alliance (SA) had a NAP with ISS and an agreement to let ISS member corps move into some of STAIN space (this includes BX-J - our system)

2. AOK (next door system) was out of bounds to ISS. But a Brazilian corp just moved in and set up, really pissing of SA. :x

3. SA start picking on all sorts of people (not us thankfully yet) and have now demanded that all ISS member corps move out of the constellation (this includes us).

4. Worst case, we have to move and we're waiting to see if SA will let us go peacefully. Second and slightly better option, we pay 2 mill per person to SA via ISS and stay put (there's something about an agreement with SA that all ISS corps pay 1 mill per member to set up a POS in their space but this clearly got lost in the noise cos it's the first I've heard of it). Best scenario and least likely, we stay put with PAX in the system. Nothing changes and we all kiss and make up.

If we do have to move, I think whoever is responsible will be footing a pretty hefty moving/lost revenue fee... :x

Just been chatting with JSheridan from PAX. Their (unofficial) position this:

1. Both PAX and 5punkcorp to stay in BX-J until the ISS negotiation are resolved.

2. PAX would like to see the Brazilians kicked out of ISS and handed to SA to deal with.

Bit harsh if you ask me, when the whole claiming sov thing could be put down to a simple noobish mistake. On an info point, the Brazlian Corp were indeed allowed by ISS to set up in AOK but not claim sov. When they did this, ehy took sov from SA and this was seen as an act of war. Hence all the trouble.

[EDIT] Although neither he nor I are CEO's, he agreed that if we do have to move PAX would be happy to make it a joint effort at least as far as Marginis. The rest, truth be told, is Fea's job. I'll get back in my box now.

/me gets back in his box :ninja:

And the latest just in from PAX:
"...80% chance that we're gonna have to move out under KOS from SA. AFAIK we are KOS already."
Best stay away from the POS till this resolves itself one way or the other. At least we don't have anything in the order of the 2 Bill ISK's worth of kit down there like PAX. Oh and, g'luck getting back Fab :aww:

I know it's only a game. It's just an amazingly great, poliitically charged, adrellin pumping game. When was the last time you can honestly say a game made you cry? Or feel like the luckiest man on earth?
